X Factor Returns Saturday 16th August, 6:30pm

After a long wait since the last series, the X Factor returns on Saturday and we can hardly wait!

The show’s had a few alterations, most notably the replacement of Sharon Osbourne by Girls-Aloud singer Cheryl Cole. There have already been plenty of rumours of fights between her and Dannii Minogue, so the on-screen exchanges are certain to make great TV. You can see what Cheryl had to say at the X Factor press conference below.

Expect the usual mix of great talent and no-hopers when X Factor returns on Saturday for the early auditions!

Shayne Ward to star on Saturday’s X Factor

This weekend’s X Factor will star none other than 2005 winner Shayne Ward performing his new single, Breathless, which is to be released on the 3rd of December.

As well as that, there’s bound to be all the usual catfighting, name-calling, walkouts and blaming of poor song choices we’ve all come to know and love from the X Factor! Here’s when you need to be watching:

Saturday 10th November 2007

ITV1 – 6:45 – The X Factor – The remaining acts tackle modern classics covering the period 2000 to 2007. Simon, Sharon, Louis and Dannii give their views on the performances, and one of the acts leaves later.
ITV2 – 8:15 – Xtra Factor – Live gossip from backstage at the X Factor show. After getting the initial reactions on tonight’s performances, Fearne goes roaming to catch the tension ahead of the Results show.
ITV1 – 9:00 – The X Factor Results – Shayne Ward performs his new single and the two lowest-scoring acts perform in a final showdown, before the judges decide who stays and who leaves. Dermot O’Leary presents.
ITV2 – 9:45 – Xtra Factor Results – Fearne Cotton presents from backstage at the X Factor, where she chats to the acts and the guest mentor. Plus, celebrity fans discuss the night’s drama in the Xtra Factor Forum.

X Factor TV Show Times for Big Band Week

It’s big band week, and two acts will be leaving the show on Saturday, so make sure you don’t miss a minute!

Saturday 3rd November 2007

ITV1 – 6:45pm – The X Factor – The ten remaining acts all perform songs in a big band style, in the hopes of winning the viewers’ votes, as judges Simon, Sharon, Louis and Dannii standby to give their views.
ITV2 – 8:25pm – Xtra Factor – Fearne Cotton presents more backstage X Factor gossip. Following tonight’s performances, she gets the immediate reactions from the judges and contestants ahead of the results show.
ITV1 – 9:10pm – The X Factor Results – Boyz II Men put in a special appearance, before the result of the public vote is announced and the two lowest scoring acts perform in front of Simon, Sharon, Louis and Dannii.
ITV2 – 9:45pm – Xtra Factor Results – Fearne Cotton presents from backstage at the X Factor show. Following tonight’s elimination, Fearne interviews the judges and the unlucky acts that have been sent home.

When to watch the X Factor

We had a few complaints last week that people missed the beginning of last week’s show because their TV guide showed the wrong time.
All we can say is next time come to us to find out when the X Factor is on!

Saturday 27th October 2007

ITV1 – 5:45 – The X Factor – The remaining 11 acts sing for the viewers’ vote by singing songs from the movies. Judges Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue comment on each performance.
ITV2 – 7:45 – Xtra Factor – Fearne Cotton presents more X Factor backstage gossip. Following tonight’s performances of songs from the silver screen, she finds out how the contestants feel it went
ITV1 – 8:30 – The X Factor Results – Dermot O’Leary reveals the results of the public vote, and the two acts with the fewest votes perform again for the judges. With special guest Celine Dion.
ITV2 – 9:05 – Xtra Factor Results – The votes have been counted, and two hopefuls have battled it out in front of the judges. Fearne Cotton finds out how it felt to perform on stage for the last time.
