Thursday, 9 December, 2010
Each contestant will be performing three songs on Saturday, and one of those is to be a song they originally sang during the audition stages. Here’s what they will be performing:
1 Direction – Torn
Originally performed at the judges houses stage of the competition, and was key to them making it through too the live finals.
Rebecca Ferguson – A Change Is Gonna Come
The Liverpudlian mother of two performed this at the Manchester auditions and sailed through to boot camp, wowing the judges in the process.
Matt Cardle – You Know I’m No Good
Essex boy Matt performed this at the London auditions, and made a fan of Simon Cowell, who commented “I decided after hearing that Amy Winehouse song, that I really really like you. An almighty yes from me.”
Cher Lloyd – Turn My Swag On
Cher took a little too much credit for this version of the Soulja Boy track, which was essentially identical to the Keri Hilson version. Even so, she caused the judges to take notice, and made it into the live finals despite messing up her judges houses performance.
