Sharon Osbourne: X Factor is a bloody circus

Sharon Osbourne’s ’shock quit’ story rumbles on, with her appearance last night on Channel 4’s Paul O’Grady Show. Sharon used the opportunity to vent steam, saying:

I’d had it up to here — it was like a bloody circus. It was a pantomime, with the pyro, feathers, girls dancing and wiggling. It’s not my show — I’m just a hired hand. It’s Simon Cowell’s show”

Sharon claims that the reason she’s not spoken to anyone from the programme is that they haven’t called her. A spokesman for the X Factor last night said they “look forward to welcoming Sharon back on the show”.

Chris Moyles to replace Sharon Osbourne?

Rumours continue surrounding Sharon Osbourne’s alleged ‘walkout’ from the X Factor programme last Saturday. The latest gossip suggests Radio One loudmouth Chris Moyles is to replace her, something Moyles strongly denies:

“Sharon walking out on Saturday night was just a PR stunt.

I wouldn’t even do it for the money she’s on, but she’ll be back – she has a contract.”

Sharon has apparently refused to speak to any of the X Factor producers since her strop last week.

Kimberley disappointed by Sharon’s Strop

After being the first contestant to leave the final rounds of the X Factor 2007 competition, 19 year old Kimberley Southwick said that what hurt her most was the behaviour of her mentor, Sharon Osbourne.

“She really threw a strop, didn’t she? I would have liked her to be holding my hand longer. I was really shocked by her exit from the show. I just think she took it very personally, really.” said Kimberley.

Despite her performance being described by Simon Cowell as ‘karaoke on a big budget’, Kimberley has no regrets about her song choice.

“They gave me such a fun single. If they had given me a belter, I could have held it better but it just wouldn’t have been me.”

And who does Kimberley want to win this series of the X Factor now that she’s out the competition?

“I think Nikki will win – and I hope she does. She doesn’t live too far away from me either, so that will be good. She’s great and she’s got a lot more to show.”

Osbourne and Minogue’s off-screen slanging match

Whilst the papers are full of Sharon’s shock ‘quit’ of the X Factor show, we are hearing reports of a very real argument between new judge Dannii Minogue and Sharon Osbourne.

Sharon apparently stormed into Dannii’s dressing room before Saturday’s live show, accusing her of ’slagging her off’, and left only once Dannii was in floods of tears.

Whatever the truth in these rumours of playground-style arguments, it seems clear that tensions are already running high amongst the X Factor judges, and things can only get worse as the weeks go on.
