Leon Jackson Winner of X Factor 2007

After a closely fought contest with over one hundred and fifty thousand auditionees, X Factor 2007 came down to a sing-off between Scotsman Leon and Welshman Rhydian.

Both acts sang their version of the song to be released as the winner’s single “When you Believe”, which is to be released on Wednesday.

Ultimately there could only be one winner, and that winner was Leon!

Rhydian had been favourite to win the competition since Futureproof and Daniel, with Leon referred to as the ‘dark horse’ of the competition, but ultimately with the voting power of Scotland behind him it was former shop-assistant Leon who succeeded.

The battle is now on for Christmas number one - can Leon make it to the top spot in time?

Same Difference Third in X Factor 2007

As the end of X Factor 2007 closes in there are just two performances left to go, which means the third-place act was announced. That act was Same Difference.

The competition now continues with both Leon and Rhydian to sing one more song - both of whom are mentored by Dannii Minogue, who is now guaranteed to win the competition.

Leon to Duet with Kylie; Rhydian to Duet with Katherine Jenkins

As now seems to be traditional for the X Factor final, Saturday’s show will feature celebrity duets.

Dannii Minogue has had a ring round a few celebs trying to round up suitable talent for her two remaining acts, Leon and Rhydian, and come up trumps.
Scotsman Leon is to duet with her sister Kylie Minogue, whilst Rhydian is to perform with classical singer Katherine Jenkins.

There’s no word yet on what songs they’ll be singing, or who Same Difference are to perform with, but as soon as we know rest assured we’ll let you know straight away.
