Andy Abraham Denied Number One Album Position By Journey South

X Factor runners up Journey South and Andy Abraham have been involved in a head to head battle this last week to see who could claim the number one position in the album charts.

Although Andy Abraham beat Journey South in the X Factor live competition, in the charts it was a different story. Ex binman Andy was forced into second place with his debut album called “The Impossible Dream” whilst Journey South sailed to the top with their debut album entitled “Journey South”.

Whatever the outcome, I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s not bad going for either of the two X Factor runners up.

Journey South’s Debut Album Tops The Charts

4 years ago Journey South were unheard of, in debt and struggling to make any impact in the music scene. This week, they have claimed the number one position in the UK album charts with their debut album entitled “Journey South” and it’s all down to The X Factor.

The boys from Middlesbrough admit that they never thought that they would ever get this far and say that they are “over the moon” “It’s really not sinking in, it’s just crazy. We’re just gonna keep working hard and pumping out good music” “There is no better feeling in the world than performing and writing our own music.”

Journey South declared that without all the people that have supported them and bought their album they would be nothing and now they are looking forward to working on their second album.

Journey South Set To Release Album

Ever wondered what happened to Journey South who came third as runners up in X Factor 2005?

It would appear that Simon has been backing them all the way. After having signed a record deal with Syco Music (owned by Simon Cowell), the Journey South lads have been working hard recording songs such as “Let It Be“, “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” and “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” and they are now set to release their album entitled “Journey South” just in time for Mothers Day on 20 March 2006. The album also includes two original songs writen by the boys and approved by Simon.
