X Factor runners up Journey South and Andy Abraham have been involved in a head to head battle this last week to see who could claim the number one position in the album charts.
Although Andy Abraham beat Journey South in the X Factor live competition, in the charts it was a different story. Ex binman Andy was forced into second place with his debut album called “The Impossible Dream” whilst Journey South sailed to the top with their debut album entitled “Journey South”.
Whatever the outcome, I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s not bad going for either of the two X Factor runners up.
Just twelve months ago, Andy Abraham was an ordinary guy, working as a binman on the streets of London. Now, he is truly living the rags to riches story as today, he appeared on This Morning to announce the release of his first album entitled “The Impossible Dream” and also his debut single which will be released on Monday.
Says Andy: “I’m living the impossible dream and it’s been a long time coming”
He admits that the change in his fortune was all down to his wife who forged his signature, ensuring that his application form reached the hands of the X Factor judges. “I am on cloud fifty-eight, cloud nine has been passed a long time ago.” “I hope the demand for my album is good and strong and I just want to go out and perform it.”
With just over 24 hours to go, the X Factor final three, Andy, Shayne and Journey South, have been speaking about their thoughts on what it would mean to them to win in tomorrows’ final X Factor showdown.
Shayne said “If I won The X Factor it would mean a lot to me. I really do want to win it. I still can’t believe that I’m in the final, let alone performing to millions of people on TV, so if I win, I would just be emotional. I hope I do win it! Whatever the outcome, even if I go back to my normal job, I will never forget what has happened to me. My family are so proud!”
Andy said “Winning The X Factor would mean everything to me: it would mean that I’d won something in my life and it means a great achievement to be number one out of 75,000 people. It’s been worthwhile because I’m in the final, but to win it would be amazing. Every single week, my family have been there. If I won they would be so ecstatic, it would be wonderful to win,”
Journey South said “Winning would just be amazing. It would be like the whole time we’ve been trying to make it has been worth it. It means everything.”
With just over 48 hours to wait until the final, the situation is understandably becoming incredibly tense in the X Factor camp. The song choices have been made, and all three acts are practising as much as possible to make sure that they pull off their best performance to date.
Song choices for this Saturday are expected to be as follows:
