It seems that this year, not only are the judges auditions being performed in front of a live ‘Britain’s Got Talent’-style audience, but boot-camp is too!
If you’d like to visit bootcamp to watch rather than sing, you can sign up for free tickets at The Applause Store. Boot-camp takes place at the Hammersmith Apollo this Saturday, the 1st of August, and like the competition is open only to those aged 16 or over.
The star of last night’s X Factor has to be Joelle Moses, who blew the judges away with her version of ‘I have Nothing’, delivering a performance worthy of Whitney herself.
The 17 year old from West Drayton wasn’t even put off by Cheryl Cole stopping her half way through to ask her to look at the judges whilst she sang. With the total of her singing coaching a ‘vocal training’ CD, the judges gave her a unanimous yes and sent her through to the next round.
The judges saw double on last night’s X Factor auditions, as they saw stunning twins Francine and Nicola Gleadall.
Simon Cowell wasn’t convinced at first, telling them they had ‘the personality of two bananas’, but after hearing them sing he was convinced they had talent – and they were put through to boot camp with a unanimous yes vote.
Last night’s X Factor featured two outstanding acts – Eoghan Quigg and Alexandra Burke.
Alexandra first auditioned for the X Factor in 2005, but was eliminated from the competition just before the live shows. Just 16 at the time, the 19 year old re-visted the X Factor and put in a mature performance that blew the judges away!
Eoghan Quigg from County Derry was also one of the judges favourites. Just 15, nervous Eohgan sang Michael Buble’s ‘Home’, followed by Heaven by Eric Clapton. He sailed through to the next round, with Louis telling him he had ‘Star quality’, and Simon saying that “Whatever IT is, you’ve got it.”.
