Katie Waissel releases Album

Katie Waissel has released her first album under her own name, titled simply ‘Katie Waissel‘.

In an interview with OK Magazine, Katie explained that this album shows a different sound to that heard on the X Factor, emphasising her love for jazz and soul.

She also spoke about her time on the X Factor, saying “The biggest thing I learnt was to be strong and stay strong. To never doubt your personal passion and belief and to always know deep in your heart that if your true to yourself, then nothing is impossible. I would say the highlight of being on The X Factor was to have the wonderful opportunity to perform in front of just so many people and to get up on stage each week to do the thing I love to do and have a passion for which is singing.

I’d say the lowest point for me was how far the death threats and hatred went… I suppose with good comes bad however it went just a little too far, however I had wonderful people – friends family Waissel warriors – that did believe in me and gave me the strength to carry on and hold my head up high.”

Cheryl Cole Hasn’t Spoken to the girls

Cheryl Cole hasn’t spoken to any of the contestants in her categories since the end of the X Factor last year, Mary Byrne has told the Sun newspaper.

“Matt has heard from Dannii [Minogue], I’m sure the boys have been in touch with Simon [Cowell], but I know Cheryl hasn’t been in touch with any of the girls,”

All three are currently performing in the X Factor live tour.

Katie Livid About Song Choice

Katie Waissel is apparently blaming Cheryl Cole’s song choice for her exit on yesterday’s X Factor.

Katie sang Sex On Fire by King’s of Leon, but apparently this was a choice she disagreed with. She claimed that Cheryl told her told ‘lump it’ and sing it anyway.

Katie claims Cheryl favoured Cher Lloyd in the competition. A source said:

“Katie didn’t want to sing it – she knew people would be having a laugh at her expense. She was devastated and thinks Cheryl has proved that she doesn’t care about anyone but Cher, who she has dubbed her ‘mini-me’.”

Katie Waissel finally out of the X Factor after polling lowest number of votes

Katie Waissel had been in the bottom two four before tonight, but there was no avoiding it tonight – Katie polled the lowest number of votes, and left the X Factor.

She was joined in the bottom three by Mary Byrne and Wagner, who go through to the sing-off.

Katie looked almost relieved when being told she was leaving, and said that she had “had the most wonderful time”, and thanked people for “supporting and believing in me”.
