The X Factor charity single for this year is now out. Entitled Heroes
it will raise money for the Help for Heroes campaign, who assist those injured in battle.
All the X Factor finalists are featured on the track, which was originally released by David Bowie
.
Katie and Treyc polled the lowest number of votes and were in the bottom two this week – both of them having previously been in the bottom two.
Katie struggled through her performance of Please Don’t Give Up On Me
, at one point saying “You know what, sod it!” and sitting down.
As a result it was a huge surprise when Treyc was voted off the show by the judges.
Treyc sang Un-Break My Heart
, but was inexplicably voted out by Simon and Louis. Louis said that his head was telling him to keep Treyc in the competition, but he went with his heart.
Treyc said that she thought she failed to connect with the viewing public. Even Katie seemed shocked to still be in the competition.
This week’s theme on the X Factor is ‘American Anthems’, so expect lots of soft-rock and stadium-style lighting effects. Here’s what we know so far about what everyone is singing – don’t panic if your favourite act isn’t there, we’ll be updating this post as we get more information!
