The X Factor charity single for this year is now out. Entitled Heroes it will raise money for the Help for Heroes campaign, who assist those injured in battle.

All the X Factor finalists are featured on the track, which was originally released by David Bowie.

Simon Cowell was potentially in the unenviable position of having to choose between two off his own acts tonight, with both Diva Fever and Belle Amie in the bottom three. In the event, Cheryl, Dannii and Louis all voted to send Diva Fever home, meaning Simon never got to vote.

After singing I Will Survive in the sing-off, the duo who made it through to the live finals on a wildcard were sent home.

This means that the only groups left in the competition are those put together as part of it – 1 Direction and Belle Amie.

It’s “Musical Heroes” week, with all contestants singing a song from one of their personal heroes.
