We were inundated with comments when Lucie Jones left the X Factor, and it seems that it wasn’t just the public that felt wronged – judge Dannii Minogue did to.
She told Heat Magazine: “I was shocked. I think it showed a frightful side to his personal music taste. He wimped out by not choosing Lucie as he had just said how amazing she was after her performance and that he he didn’t know what to do about the twins.”
She added: “Next year, we need five judges and a fifth category, adding ‘Novelty Act’, which maybe Simon could mentor!”.
The X Factor charity single for this year is Michael Jackson’s hit, You Are Not Alone
. It features all of the X Factor finalists, and is in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital, a very worthy cause.

A massively controversial result this week, as the bottom two consisted of Lucie Jones and John and Edward.
Louie was extremely complimentary about Lucie, explaining that he thought she didn’t deserve to be in the bottom two, but that he had to protect his own act. Dannii Minogue unsurprisingly voted to save Lucie, and Cheryl Cole, who had previously spoken out about John and Edward, voted to send the Irish twins home. That left the deciding vote to Simon Cowell, who after slating the celtic pairing all series then proceeded to vote send Lucie home, creating a dead-lock and leaving the decision to the public vote.
As Lucie has polled the lowest number of votes, it was she who left the competition, leaving JEdward to perform again next week.
