It’s been revealed that just a week after being booted off the X Factor, group Girlband have split up, with a source telling the Sun “They’re all blaming each other and their bickering has blown into full-scale rants”.
Girlband were the second act to leave X Factor 2008, after losing in the bottom two to Ruth Lorenzo.
The bottom two for the Michael Jackson themed X Factor 2008 show were Spanish contestant Ruth Lorenzo and girl-group Girlband.
As per the new format, the two acts sang different songs when attempting to convince the judges not to send them home, with Ruth singing ‘Purple Rain’, and Girlband singing ‘I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing’.
The judge’s decision was again deadlocked, leaving the act who polled the lowest number of votesm Girlband, on their way home.
The decision means that Louis Walsh now has only one act remaining, all-boy group JLS.
Sources close to one of the final 12 have delivered us what appears to be a list of all the finalists through to the live shows. It should be noted that official X Factor sources have neither confirmed or denied this list – but it looks pretty accurate to us.
