Another week, another Simon Cowell act out of the competition at the hands of Louis Walsh. Austin and Rachel Hylton made up the bottom two last night, with Austin singing “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow” to try and stay in the competition.
Ultimately, Louis commented that he was putting Rachel through because she was a ‘raw talent’, although he also said of Austin “For me, he was one of the best singers tonight, so he can go out with his head held high”.
The decision leaves both Louis and Simon with just one act left each - JLS for Louis, and Eoghan Quigg for Simon.
The theme for the third week of live X Factor 2008 shows has been revealed - it’s big band week!
