Apply for X Factor 2011 Auditions

Filed under:

We’ve been inundated with requests from people wanting to know how to audition for the X Factor in 2011. Here’s what you need to know:

Age limit
The minimum age will again be 16.

The categories are expected to be the same as last year – Groups, 28s and Over, Girls and Boys. There is always a shortage of good groups auditioning, so if your aim is to make it to the final 12 it might be worthwhile forming a group rather than going it alone.

Provisionally the locations for the auditions are: Cardiff, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Belfast. This has not been confirmed and is subject to change.

To apply as a soloist please fill out the form here, for groups please sign up here.

  5. The X Factor auditions are a joke! Went to London on Sunday waited for about 8 hours for one minute chance to impress some producer! What do they know about singing?! All they know about is viewing figures and what would make good TV. I saw people who got through that were rubbish so I guess they are putting through people to make the nation laugh at them at the expense of real talent! Great! The whole thing is a big fat con! How did the chicken factory man get through 3 rounds of auditions? Proves my point!
