Matt Cardle’s first single, When We Collide is apparently set for the top of the charts on Saturday, after selling almost 170 000 copies in its first two days on sale. That is more than three times the second placed single, What’s My Name?

The original Biffy Clyro version of the track, entitled Many Of Horror [When We Collide] is also set to make a re-entrance in the top 10. The band broke their silence about the X Factor cover on Australian radio, saying “The whole thing’s a bit surreal. We think it’s all quite funny”.
Matt Cardle responded, saying “I know there are some Biffy fans that are like, ‘What have you done to that song?’ It’s a great song. I’m hoping that I’ve done it justice.”
