»X Factor 2011 Auditions«

FYD, or ‘Follow Your Destiny’ are a group of lads hoping to copy the success that JLS had, starting with a three letter name. Originally called FYE (‘For Your Entertainment’), the group were forced to change names after it emerged another boy band were already performing under that title.

The group are Alex, Jordan, Kelvin, Matt and Ryan, and have previously worked as backing singers for the likes of Duffy and Paulo Nutini.
The group performed Plan B’s “She Said
” at the audition, and were voted through unanimously. As Simon’s only realistic chance of victory this year, you can be sure that Mr Cowell will be putting his full energies into ensuring their success.
The female counterpart to 1 Direction, Belle Amie are the girl group formed at bootcamp from those whose talnet was great, but not great enough.
The quartet of Rebecca Creighton, Esther Campbell, Geneva Lane and Sophia Wardman are hoping they fare better than the previous X Factor created groups, none of whom have made it far in the competition.
When Simon told the group to form, he said: “This is a lifeline. You’ve got to work, 10, 12, 14 hours a day, every single day and take this opportunity. You got a real shot here guys.”.

Aiden Grimshaw is 18 and was first seen at the Manchester auditions where he wowed Simon, Louis and Nicole singing Gold Digger
.
Aiden seems to have a decent following amongst X Factor blog readers, and seems likely to do well in the competition.
1 Direction are one of the now-standard groups formed at boot camp from those nearly but not quite good enough to make it through to the final. They consist of Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Zain Malik and Niall Horan.

None of these X Factor manufactured groups have done well in the competition, and it remains to be seen if 1 Direction can buck this trend.
