No X Factor 2011?

There’s speculation that there will be no X Factor next year, at least in the UK.

This is because the X Factor is set to launch in the US September of next year, and Simon Cowell is anxious to ensure that he can concentrate his full attention on that.

The show would instead be shifted forward by six months, starting in March 2012 and the next March ever year subsequently.

The move would also mean that the X Factor winners single would no longer be vying for the Xmas number one – a feat Joe McElderry famously failed to reach last year.

  1. This is stupid. they should move X Factor USA to March 2012, X Factor has been in the UK longer!dont ruin the tradition

  3. omg dont do it!

x factor originated here in the UK! its been running every year for years and still is a big success to this day, it will never get boring!

and plus if it doesnt run for a year the americans will just think that UK are sellouts for not being able to host their own show in their own country and true artists will stop attending these shows when thats the whole point anyway.

  4. X Factor should mention their last x factor series before they just end it.

Host one more for 2011, let everyone know its the last time, and you see how much talent emerges.

  7. Cheryl Cole must follow the rules of X-Factor. She must not be allowed abstain. It is farsical that Simon Cowell is not strict with Cheryl Cole. Voting public are not fickle.
Katie should have been booted out. I will not be watching X-Factor again. Dannii is the only judge who is fair. Louis comes out with some tripe every now and then. The public should STOP VOTING. ITV– SHAME ON YOU.

I hope the rules and procedures in USA “X Factor” respects the wishes of voting public.

  8. We dont want it in the US if its going to be the farce that this season is turning out to be. Wagner to win – no talent joke winner for a joke show

  9. X-Factor is a farce. Cheryl Cole thinks its a gravy train for her benefit. Cheryl Cole should have voted and not allowed to abstain. Opportunities for Cheryl should be nipped in the bud in USA as she is shallow and fickle. Public should stop voting. ITV must be taught a lesson that the voting public cannot be ignored.
