Song Choices for Elton John/Take That Week

This week everyone is singing two songs – one by Elton John, the other by Take That. With John and Edward’s departure leaving Louis out of the running, will Dannii be eliminated with the exit of Stacey Solomon? Or will Simon or Cheryl lose another act?

Here’s what they will be performing:

Stacey Solomon
Something About The Way You Look Tonight
Rule The World

Joe McElderry
Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word
Could It Be Magic

Lloyd Daniels
I’m Still Standing
A Million Love Songs

Danyl Johnson
Your Song
Relight My Fire

Olly Murs
Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting)
Love Ain’t Here Anymore

  1. i think that the next person to go out will be Lloyd or Danyl even though Lloyds super super fit i dont think he has a strong enough voice to keep on going through the competition.

    Olly To WinxXxXxXxXxX

  2. Is there a reason why Louis and Simon are so “bitchy”.
It’s like watching two little girls fighting over a doll in the school playground.

  3. How old are you, Ashleigh? 12? Then I understand!
The fact that lloyd’s still in the comp is just a joke!! Not only he can’t sing but he can’t move either….and his face reminds me of a porcelain scary doll!!!
Joe is good…but I think the judges are giving him too much credit….He could be good for the West End but nothing else!! After one record he’d be forgot!
Show is weird this year….If Danyl, Stacey and Olly are not in the final….I’d quit watching for good!

  4. Surely it cannot be the case that Simon is so afraid of not making the final that he has recruited Cheryl into a subtle campaign to remove Stacey as the number threat? The comments from both Cheryl and Simon yesterday were so far off the mark that it looked like a planned set up. Really Simon, the public are not that stupid and can see right through your game. Stacey is a superb singer, therfore, please give her the credit she deserves along with her mentor, who has done a great job thus far!!

  6. I really can’t understand why Danyl is in the competition still, do people not realise that he can only only sing a few high notes and the rest of the song is murdered I do agree he ends on a well but if you missed off the end notes of his song you’d realise how bad he really is and the people who say Lloyd was bad well he can sing the low notes better than Danyl and Lloyd had the like ability that Danyl doesn’t and has never had. Joe to win!!!

  7. (6)Catherine – I am astounded at your comments that Lloyd could hit low notes better than Danyl. If you are a professional vocal coach you have obviously been taught differently to me. Lloyd had trouble singing any note in tune. He was only in the competition because he was pretty and would attract votes. His mentor herself has trouble staying in tune when trying to sing.
I concede that Danyl has had tuning problems at times but I think he has been under enormous pressure due to Media coverage and some of the spiteful comments from Cheryl and Danni.I also think he has trouble with phrasing occasionally but some of his performances have been outstanding and he is probably the best singer technically in the competition.
All Lloyd’s performances have been dreadful and Cheryl has a lot to answer for.
Joe is a good singer but has trouble owning a stage which is why he has had so many dancers on with him. He is not a natural mover and he knows it.He has a very endearing personality but his performances lack the sparkle and excitement that Danyl is able to achieve. Technically he manages to hold a tune but does not always understand phrasing and he does not annunciate the ends of words. His voice is one dimensional and lacks texture.
There is no one with the X Factor this year. The person who comes closest is Danyl.
