Kandy Rain the first act to leave the X Factor 2009

Another year, another group are the first the leave the X Factor, after Kandy Rain and Rachel were in the bottom two.

Ex-strippers Kandy Rain came in for a lot of criticism from Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole, with Dannii saying:

“Reign it in. The stories came out that you used to be pole dancers and all of that and you want us to listen to you as singers.”

Cheryl was equally dismissive, adding:

“I totally agree. If I was your mentor I would have bought you out all demure. You keep saying you want to keep the past behind you but you come out all dressed a bit proactively and that’s the image you give off.”

Simon Cowell was more supportive of Kandy Rain, but with both girls voting against them, and Louis voting to keep his own act in the choice went to a public vote, and Kandy Rain were the first act to leave X Factor 2009.

Who will be next to leave?

  1. I cannot believe that jon and edward are still in the competition. it renders the whole show a total farce. They obviously cannot sing and to keep them on when there are so many more deserving acts is ridiculous! I am not sure how many more times I can watch this show if it is so sadly biased! It really does seem like they are only staying because they are Irish, or maybe some students are voting for them for a laugh. Sad, very very sad.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I am writing about X-Factors live performance that I saw on You Tube today.

I am very concerned that the two women judges Danni and Cheryl are making moralistic judgments about the girl singer act Ms. Frank and the one women judge Dani inappropriately brought up one of the male singers Danyl Johnson’ bi-sexuality after he sang a wonderful song from the Dream Girls score. Dani was supposed to comment on his Danyl Johnson’s performance no make a big deal out of what she heard in the newspapers about the man’s bisexuality. What is the big deal? She was shaming him and making him wrong. It was very hetero-sexist and homophobic and has no place in this competition. There is a wide axis of different loving beyond the heterosexual format.

Those moralistic comments were inappropriate and discriminatory – plus it comes off as racist. Who cares who one has slept with or is loving in their lives (consenting adults of course). What does that have to do with their singing? The two women judges are swaying the audience with their moralist and bigoted Puritanical opinions. This is not cool. What a sticky wicket they have started here. They owe them an apology and also they need to stop moralizing to the contestants. Stick to judging what is important, singer and they stage presence etc.

  3. Danni Minogue needs to review her judging comments and stick to being professional and not make comments about someones sexuality whether in jest or serious. Her half hearted attempt at humour backfired and could have infuenced the public in their voting. Despite Simon defending her he should have a serious talk with her as we do not want another discrmination event as on Channel Four.

  4. i think the two female judges are being pure bitchy, saying that the gurl band dress like stripers,nd shit thers nicer ways of saying all this, sure i have seen both judges in less cloths,so i dont know what there talking about.

and for commenting on danyl’s sexuallity?
yhat was so uncalled for,if everyone was to comment on what there read in the pepers all the judges wouldnt even be on the show anymore.they of all people as celebs should know that a lot of things you read in the papers are not true.

  5. it’s all gonna come out any way so what’s the big deal if it gets people talking about them and them in the papers people will remember them and watch for them more, he shouldn’t be ashamed if he is and he should worry about people thinking he os even if he isn’t,

  6. Danni, Cheryl and Louis, all made me angry at comment they had made. Especially when both Cheryl and Louis ganged up on Danyl claiming he was behaving like he had already won the competion, and he has no likeability.. wot a crock of S*@#. Have they forgotten his audition, the crowd and judges were on their feet, he slipped in the next 2 audtions, but on the live show he came back with a vengence. FANTASTIC.. the other judges see him as a threat, so they are all bitching and being unprofessional, at least when Simon comments it is well justified, he has never got into trouble for comments made about singers, and as for Danni thinking she was being funny.. what a COW! Poor Danyl I thought he was going to burst into tears.. how DARE! She… and her apology appeared ungenuine, they all need a slap on the wrist… Except for SIMON…

  7. Netty, I completely agree with your comment, and in addition to that, I would like to know what it was about Danyl’s performance for Louis and Cheryl to say he was overconfident? That was a “crock” as well. It just makes me shake my head in disbelief. Anyway, off topic, being from Canada I enjoy watching xfactor on Youtube, and I would like to know if anyone out there knows what happened to Miss Fitz? They were great in the audition, but I didn’t see them in boot camp or anywhere else along the line after that. Did they disappear in the woodwork somehow, or did I miss something myself? Thanks

  11. i LOVE miss frank. At first i wasn’t too sure between Jamie Affro, Danyl and Miss Frank but it’s definately miss frank after saturdays ( 17/10 ) show. They were so passionate and really drew me in. I can’t stop replaying it on youtube now. Simon was WRONG! I love miss frank :) Don’t give up – i need to buy your CD! :D

    P.S – i also love lucys singing too :)

  12. thinks cheryl was out of order telling kandy rain they wher dressed 2 provocativley, n then steps out in virtually the same outfit. it seems like she was prob a bit jealous, as the blonde girl who was wearing the same top as her in kandy rain, had a much better body than her, and is the sort of girl her husband would sleep with!
