Song choices for X Factor Final 2008

We don’t know all the songs to be sung in tonight’s final, but we can reveal the Christmas songs the acts are going to sing.

JLS are to sing the Wham hit ‘Last Christmas’, Eoghan is to perform the Wizard song ‘I Wish it Could be Christmas Every Day’, and Alexandra will be singing the carol ‘Silent Night’.

  4. Well done xfactor, you have orchestrated another win for your Bow! You know that Jls should have won, but you put your psycholgical print on the public! Shame.

  5. If Eoghan didnt win I wanted JLS to win. Louis stood by his boys and should be proud of them.Eoghan also should have had a young person singing with him Some one like “Hannah Montana”. She was superb that night. Far outshone Britney the Mimer. Anyway Eoghan We are all proud of you here in the North and just remeber if they had have let Southern Ireland vote you would have win hands down. They take their money off them allowing them to watch the show but dont give them the vote. Thats a shame. Ireland is Ireland after all.

  6. No disrespect to the winning singer or the fans of the program, but it really is out of order for an entertainment talent show to do a cover version of a great Leonard Cohen song or any quality song for that matter, the x factor should stick to there own songs and steer well clear of the quality music scene. If you want to hear this song the way it should be performed check out the original, Jeff Buckley, or The Rufus Wainwright versions.

  7. I honestly think Xfactor did do justice in using the winners between the last three contestant. about 4-6minutes to the end of voting to choose the best two, Beyonce was asked to come and sing. Knowing fully well that Alex had sang with Beyonce earlier could only give Alex an undue advantage over other two contestants. Can it be shown to the world the number of people that voted for Alex after and during Beyonce’s song. Can we see the graphs for the vote to see if there was any sharp rise for Alex? Anyway I wished Alex should be the winner but I still believe she should be a fair winner.

  9. Dare,
By all means and every standard, Alexandra is a very True and Worthy winner. There was not in anyway an undue advantage given to her just bcos Beyonce sang moments to announcing the final 2.If at all it’s an advantage, it is clearly a deserved one and fair.
Check the result statistics on the ITV.com website and see clearly for yourself.

You should know when someone Like Louis mentors a boyband such as JLS it will be Westlife to duet with. No surprises there. But even then, Their performance with W.L showed how powerful / weak their Vocals realy were.Dont get me wrong, i love JLS and wish them well as a group.
Even so, Leona duetted with “Take That” who had just done a come back and as such she won not bcos she duetted with them, the majority of public knew her vocals were powerful and strong.
