Beverley and Hope were the two acts in the bottom two tonight, after a strong performance by all the remaining contestants.
Simon and Louis both predictably backed their own acts, Hope and Beverley respectively, but Dannii and Sharon both had harder decisions to make.
Dannii commented that both acts had ’sung their hearts out’, but said that Beverley had been more consistent, so voted to send Hope home.
Sharon then voted to send Beverley home, creating the first voting deadlock in X Factor. As such, the decision was left to the public vote, with the act that had polled the lowest number of votes during the evening being sent home. That act was Beverley, leaving Louis with only Niki left in his category.

That sucks! i will not watch X factor anymore!!
watched it for Beverley!!!
Comment by nancy lee — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:15
What a disgrace Sharon. You were weak there. You shoul dhave voted off Hope but you deferred to the public vote because it was easier. What a big mistake.
Comment by Kerry — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:16
That was the biggest fix I have ever seen. Even the fact that the result is on the site so quickly proves it. I have watched X factor from the time it started but never again. Beverley was cheated out of the competition - is everyone in Cowell’s pcoket. I am so sickened by the result. Who is going to be cheated out next - Rhydian????
Comment by Christine Coffey — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:16
Sharon was such a disappointment for all talented women She definiely kopped out big time she not only let herself down but also Beverley a true talented singer compared to a group of no hopers
Come on Sharon get real be true to your convictions
Comment by Ann Marie — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:18
ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING DECISION!! NO WAY should beverley have went home! Was it me or could nobody else hear how BAD Hope were!!!
Comment by Lisa — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:18
Sharon chickened out! Should she be a judge?????? I think not. Beverley was by far the better act.
Comment by Angela — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:18
i think this weeks result are absolutly s**t i think beverly should have won because she has a better voice than hope i think that the people i the x factor have made a very very bad mistake and beverly would have took you places more than that so called girl group hope. thank you
Comment by emma and ruth — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:19
Really not fair…
The public only vote for the best looking or best song… They should actually vote for best voice…
You cannot compare Berveley’s voice with those girls.
She is much better than Hope…
Tonight’s show was a mistake!
Comment by Nathalia — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:20
I think this is ridiculous!! Beverly shouldn’t be going home tonight. Frankly I’m startled that Hope are still in this competition.
Comment by Tammy — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:20
Not right. Not right at all!
Comment by Muppet — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:20
don’t know why Beverley has been voted out instead of a few of the other acts. i think it’s a fix as some of the other acts should have been voted out ages ago!
i think this programme is a fix.
tracey marshall, york.
Comment by Tracey Marshall — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:20
What a fix tonight was. C’Mon Phobe is the only one that is keeping Hope going Beverly deserved to stay!!
i Honestly thought Leon And Same difference would have been up and the public probably thought they did not have to vote to save Beverly. How wrong they were so now the final will be Hope and Rhydian it seems to be such a fix!!! No more voted from me as Hope will probably win even though Rhydian is the only one who has the X factor . There def is no Leona lewis’s this year!!
Comment by Angela — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:21
Sorry Beverley but you were robbed. You have an amazing voice and an even more amazing personality.
It seems that the winner has been decided and they were not even entered as a group initially.
Is this yet another ITV phone vote scandal?
Good luck in all you do
Susan Berry (Mrs)
Comment by Susan — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:22
i think it was really obvious that Hope should go. Phoebe is a really good singer but they should change Hope to Phoebe and the girls, or actually maybe just Phoebe and the girls who go Oooh Aaah. The whole part of being in a GROUP is that you sing as a GROUP
Comment by Lizzie — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:22
!!!! What was Sharon thinking of sending home one of only 3 acts able to hit a note. Hope trashed a good song with almost all notes sung flat. Disgraceful result, I will NOT watch this dreadful programme again.
Comment by nick — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:24
This competition is becoming a joke!!!! All the Acts that can actually sing are being sent home! Beverly was a class act and has delivered great performances week after week Hope have been in the bottom two week after week n yet they are still in the running.
x factor is losing credibility bigtime!!!
Nicky n Ryhdian are the best acts left. Leon is ok aswell
Comment by chrystal — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:25
Apalling, what a fix. Hope are awful singers, with the lead vocals in tonights song getting more flat notes than correct ones. It’s an utter disgrace - the wrong person has been voted out without a doubt.
Comment by R Bagworth — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:25
I can’t believe Bev is out, it is disgusting. What a joke. She is a class act and did not deserve to go. I can’t believe Sharon bottled it, she knew Bev was the best. I will stop watching now.
Comment by Linda Mcgee — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:26
What the hell is going on, Bev should be still in, this is the biggest joke ever
Comment by Linda — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:27
what a travesty! Shame on you, Sharon, for not having the guts or integrity to be honest; and shame, too, that we have no proof of what the home voters really said. Are they really tone deaf? Beverley has a superb voice, perfect pitch, energy and emotion, star quality - a delight to listen to. ‘Hope’ did a shameful performance: 16 or not, the lead singer was about as tuneful as the dog in the garden next door.
Is there any point in watching a fix?
Comment by kaz williams — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:27
An absolute disgrace again…what is the point of watching a fix of a show totally controlled by Simon. Extremely disappointed in Sharon who I thought was stronger and would stand up to Simon, but she made the biggest mistake sicnce I have been watching her on TV.##This show is not a talent show it is a show of who likes you the best.
How can you compare Hope to Sharon, they did not even sing as a group.
Not watching the show again……waste of my time.
Comment by Jacqs — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:28
I personally cannot believe Beverley’s gone! She had an amazing voice!! Hope is only in there because of Pheobe! She has a great voice, but she should be a solo singer because that’s how they’re acting, Phoebe as a lead singer and the rest as back-up. Tonights show was a joke!! Hope should’ve gone!!!!
Comment by Dee — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:29
This is the biggest blunder a reality TV show has made so far.ITV will be losing thousands of viewers for this s**t factor show just because of this silly old woman’s action.
Comment by Saj — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:29
It is a fix I focussed on Simons face and he was beaming. I’m so suprised that a man who obviously knows the business has focussed on the young leggy ones on his team instead of the talented one. He should have shown a more respectful emotion. one of support for his group but also respect for a woman who has more vocal skill than any of the the Hope girls have. I really do feel like not watching anymore.
Comment by caroline — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:30
that was a disgrace hope are hopeless and the show was fixed sharon simons puppet the show has gone down in my estieem shocking and shameful
Comment by john charles — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:30
Boo Hoo ,its a competition ,who cares who was better or worse that is just your opinion ,you people who say ” I wont watch any more ” get a life grow up .I personaly dont care who wins .they re all bad if you ask me ,but that is my opinion ,my right. You’re allowed to disagree with me that your right.
Comment by Doug — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:30
That was the biggest fix I’ve ever seen!
Hope are rubbish!! Beverly had more talent in her little finger than the whole group put together!! They want Hope to win but no one will buy their records unless they’re tone death!
Such a fix!!
Bring Beverly back!!!
Comment by Bo — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:30
This had to be the lowest moment of X faxtor I’ve ever witnessed. How the Hell Is Beverly any Worse than Hope that she should be kicked out! Seriously These judges don’t know anything about real talent anymore Hope should have left a long time ago their not good singers they have barely any talent and they better be out by next week or else there will be chaos!
Comment by Erica — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:30
Very disappointed with Sharon’s decision. Why should she be paid so much to be a judge if she has no mind of her own? If HOPE wins, I am never watching X Factor again!
Comment by HomerT — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:30
Oh my god what are they doing? Why did Sharon send Beverly home? every body knows that beverly is by far the best out of the two!! Ihave always watched Xfactor BUT NO MORE!! this competition is a fix! me and all of my friends only watched it for beverly! I cannot beleive how sharon cowardly left it to the public vote! it makes me sick that beverly represnted the real women of this world who have a naturally great voice and cares for the people around her and then u get the same old bimbos ‘Hope’ who come year after year for there 15 mins of fame and its no suprise why simon keeps them in is it now…
Xfatcor that was a BIG mistake i say …..
GET RID OF HOPE AND BRING BACK BEVERLY HOW IT IS SUPOSED 2 BE!!
Comment by Katie — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:30
Beverly should still be in, Hope to go next week for sure, Niki to win she is the best. Sharon bottled it big time.
Comment by dawn — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:30
YOU ARE AN UTTER DISGRACE SHARON!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO BALLS AT ALL…….you shouldn’t be on the programme you pathetic wimp!!
Beverley and Rhydian were the only ones on the show with talent - it now isn’t worth watching at all.
X-Factor??????
Don’t make me laugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Utterly pathetic - its the BBC for me now!!!
And what makes it much worse, Sharon, is that you know damned well that you were utterly and completely wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Simon Cowell - you’re a plonker too……you know it was wrong - and it’ll hurt you where it counts - in your wallet!!!
And I’ve no brief for Louis either……the egomanic is apparently buying the same car I was intending to buy - and it’s put me right off it!
….or, for that matter, for Danni….who probably has the best remaining act but who binned two of the good lads before they got a proper chance
Comment by Keith — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:31
I am absolutely shocked. I am also really disappointed with Sharon who showed her true colours tonight.. weak. Beverley was fantastic and no way should she be going home. Beverley, I hope you meant it when you said ‘ This isn’t the end!’. Can’t wait to see and hear more from you.
I think the show is a fix.
Comment by Elaine — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:31
how many girl groups have we had? shoron why didnt you give beverly a chance! if anyone deserved to get a chance to live her dream after such a hard beginning in life. get those bunch of misfits {hope} who are not thaT BAD,BUT THEY’RE NOT THAT GOOD EITHER! OUT OF THIS WORTY TALENT SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Comment by sara — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:33
FIX!!! Phone lines are still being fixed even after all the scandal in the papers with ITV. Hope should have left weeks ago. Sharon made the worse decision, even though we all know she wanted to keep Beverley in!!! X Factor want Hope to win as they made them, it’s the biggest joke ever & should not be on our screens ever again!!!
Comment by Kath — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:34
Beverley was classy and talented with a voice like liquid gold. Hope are a bunch of no-hopers who can just about sing in tune but have no class or special talent. I think we all know where the X factor is going.
Comment by Sue — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:35
I have never posted to a website before but i am so incensed by what happened to beverly ! The voting public aught to be ashamed, and, i am sorry Sharon, but you have let the side down! Fair play, never !
I am not a kid but a very mature woman who loves all kinds of ( good) music.
Come on one of you get Bev a recording contract and make up for this stupid stupid result.
this is a sad day for a programme that promised such a great final! so who will we have in the final?? i shudder to think!
do
Comment by do — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:35
Lets make sure Hope and same diff are voted to sing off next week! Make up for loseing such a great singer. Sorry but they are the worst in the comp.
Comment by caroline — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:35
I WILL NEVER EVER WATCH THE X FACTOR AGAIN…Beverley had the best voice in the competition…she should have won! Shame on you Sharon! I just really hope that Beverley does not take to night on board she is a strong women, with an amazing voice…she is the reason I have watch this programme…she needs to not let this set her back and to go out there and carry on doing what she does best and sing. I cannot believe that Same Difference and Hope are still in there and that she is out! Beverley please please do not take this to heart go out there and be the beautiful star that you are!!
Comment by Linda — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:37
Dear Danni, Sharon, Louie and Simon
You cruel cruel bastards…how can you do that? I’m a musician in a band, I know a good singer when I see one. Beverley absolutely sang her damn heart out doing very little wrong, Hope started terribly with that stupid wannabe singing the lead..? Crap choice of song also. I like(d) watching X Factor simply to soak up the good voices that do pop up now and again and I know it’s all about money money making and who’s gonna attract the most fan’s after winning but why bullshit yourselves? Judge’s are supposed to mark on vocal abilities if it is a singing competition surely. Again I know both the image and the talent are in play but you’re messing with these peoples soul’s, it was quite clear that you all decided to even the votes as you already knew the F-ing vote count just to make the public look like the C U Next Tueday’s. Poor Becerley that’s all I can say, put me right off the show. Hope will probably win no doubt, depends on how many vote’s they get. You can’t judge on their vocal skills one minute and not the next, Beverley clearly out-sang Hope and I hope she get’s to sell records one day - Go Beverley.
Comment by Rusky — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:38
today have proved how racists still existing, Bev was the best singer in the whole, and you were worried that she will win yet she is black, so i’m my advice is , next time, remember to say that contestants are only whites. your show sucks
Comment by prossy — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:38
How does x-factor work? If you’re talented and perform better than your competition you get voted off? Probably rigged.
Sharon, you’re one of the most sensible week after week. What happened to your performance tonight?
Looking forward to hearing more of Beverley’s voice in the future!
Comment by Eduardo — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:39
I don’t think Sharon is sober!!! What a farce. Disgusted. Hope has a snowballs in hell. Sharon has finally put the last nail in her “c” list celebrity coffin. SHAME ON YOU!
Comment by Arno — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:41
That was the biggest fix I have ever seen I am so discussed to say that I actually watched this programme. Certainly will not tune in again. It was disgusting. Hope were not in tune and Beverly was fab could not understand why Sharon did what she did only other than to keep the peace probably with Simon. Very very annoyed about this. You can certainly tell who is paying for this show can’t you. Think they ought to bad reality shows now. This has been such a fix it has been unreal. Not happy at all.
Comment by Susan Woodward — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:42
Lets not be naive! Its a programme which is scrpited and manipulated.
Sharon is a paid employee and will have ben told how to act.
Trouble is next week its up to the public vote and reality shows are notorious for public c**k ups.
You can only get a true judges vote if they are entirely indepedent and that can never happen with any show where the judges are employees.
Trouble is just how is the best contestant guaranteed to win. Simple answer…they are not
Comment by Gee — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:42
I hope that someone comes in for Beverley and gives her a singing contract…she deserves it.
I can not believe how fixed this show is…even whilst calling to register a vote for Beverley, you could not get through on the phone.
The worst result since Xfactor started.
Comment by Jacqs — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:43
If we were to consider the fact that you have 5 times as many people voting for you (i.e. 5 girls = 5 times number of votes from all their friends) it’s little wonder these girl bands are going to go far.
I thought that’s what we had judges for. Berveley should have never gotten kicked off!
Comment by Martin — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:44
What a farce this show is turning out to be, Hope were as flat a flukes with their singing, Beverley definitely outclassed them, I think Simon was just being his usual spiteful self. Another viewer bites the dust.
Comment by cAS — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:44
Those in influencial positions should not foster mediocrity to boost their own non-progressive agendas. We have witnessed a lot of failure in public British institutions due to promoting this under-achievement. Shame on Sharon!! Who does it serve when the whole nation start to under-achieve due to pleasing the paymaster.
Comment by dave — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:45
this is my last day to watch such stupid program, i thought it was a singing competition, and about people with real talents, not fake ones, but its the opposite. many are loosing interest in this so called x factor, due to rfake jugdes, if you have your own issues, don’t bring them to the show, its about people’s future, not about your selves, im talking to you sharon
Comment by yoms — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:45
I highly doubt it was fixed considering ITV’s recent phone-in fraud. I’d also like to add that I hated Beverley’s continual balling and thought that whilst she was a good singer, she isn’t as good as Mariah, Whitney or even Leona. So let’s take that all into consideration before throwing our rattles out of the pram…
Oh God, I’m waiting to get hit over the head now… Lets make sure:
Same Difference all the way! No really…
Comment by Ben — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:45
What’s the point of watching this show if someone as good as Beverley goes like this? The viewing public might get it wrong, but the judges should (and do)know better.
I think it just suited them to keep Hope in, even though they couldn’t possibly justify it musically; that’s why Sharon cynically washed her hands of a decision.
If loads of people don’t bother to tune in next week, maybe they’ll get the message.
Comment by Timaldi — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:48
Sharon…what was the reason?! That was rubbish! I bet if Beverley had been in Simon’s team she would still be there!
Comment by Ale — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:49
To be honest, Beverley shouldn’t have gone home tonight because she is clearly more talented than Hope. However, staying in the competition would have simply delayed the inevitable - she clearly doesn’t have a fan base and obviously does not appeal to enough people (shown by the fact that the public voted her out, NOT Sharon). Yes she can sing, but is there a market out there for her, or for that matter, Nicki? We all remember, or as the case may be, don’t remember Steve Brookstein (or whatever he was called) - he was dropped after 6 months by his record label because there is no appeal in seeing 40 somethings singing ballads - it’s boring. unfortunately, i can’t see any of the remaining contestants doing well and i think will have to wait till next year for another Leona…
Comment by Siobhan — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:50
Take this programme off the air as it is an utter fix. I am very disappointed in Simon Cowell for letting this happen and the other judges thought better of you all.
Comment by Susan Woodward — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:50
Beverley should not have been voted off. Hope should have. Perhaps someone record company should sign Beverley she will then have the xmas number on that will teach Simon. Go Bev!
Comment by Jonathan — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:51
Iam so disappointed in today’s result. I think Sharon was so wrong. If we are to Judge on Talent (which we should cause it is) we all know that Hope should have gone home today even they know that cause they were shocked. So is that the truth is that the best we can do. That’s why we have Judges there to make the right/ honest choice to the best of their ability. Can Sharon Honestly tell me that she thinks hope sang better that Bev tonight? Come on. So what was the point she was trying to make because I don’t get it. You can’t take gambles with things like this .This could change someone’s life. Sorry Sharron but you’ve let a lot of people down today. Hope things go better next week Girls ( Hope)
Good Luck Bev X
Comment by Miss A. — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:52
Beverley out isn’t just a disgrace more of a joke. I too think Sharon bottled it but ….. HOPE got more public votes than Bev so maybe it was fair.
Completly wrong but fair ….. except of course, this is ITV & we all know how ‘fair’ their phone votes are, don’t we?
Comment by Mike King — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:53
What a total disappointment. X Factor is a massive fix. Beverley was my favourite to win and Hope are nothing compared to her.
Sharon, you made a stupid decision so you could make it easier for yourself. Where has the real talent gone in this competition? The judges should realise its not all about them, its about the contestants.
For god sake, get a grip!
Beverley, you were my favourite and absolutely amazing. You’ll go far!
Hope & Same Difference - Get out!
Comment by Sarah — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:54
What a fix-Hope were absolutely appalling-even worse than they have been thus far.Beverley was superb by comparison.Did you see the way that Sharon looked at Simon and Louis before she said Beverley[it wasn’t HER opinion she was uttering but she as usual was thinking of herself not the acts]-unbelievable ,disgraceful. The show should be pulled now before its integrity[that’s a laugh]totally disappears.
Comment by dave johnson — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:55
Hope is not a group…they are Phoebe plus backing singers! Beverley was the better act tonight. Sharon made the wrong decision…..bet she knkows it now.
Comment by M — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:56
Beverly deserved to stay, however there is always a fix like this. To lower the competition ? I don’t know. First of all Sharon knows what she had done was wrong, her expression at the end said it all.
Simon should know when someone has a good voice…
He’s also made a huge mistake, and will regret it.
I’m not surprised either though, I had a feeling she’d go, I even said there’ll be a deadlock, and there was. They do one each year around this time.
I’m not getting angry by it, this is bound to happen in reality TV shows, it always does >_
Comment by Melissa — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:58
Let me say, at the outset, that Hope are not as good as Beverly and my bottom two were Hope and Niki. However the weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth on this thread has me ROFLMAO.
Last week there were posters saying that it should have gone to the public vote as the judges were biased towards Hope. Comments such as “why should the judges decide” were all over the thread (go and look at them) This week, errrr, Sharon should have voted off Hope to STOP it going to the public vote!! Screw democracy this week!! How stupid are some people on here?Beverly was less popular with the great British public than Hope were.
So, what are you going to do next week if the public don’t vote Hope off? To quote a decent group…”The public gets what the public wants”.
Forget about the phone vote being deliberately fixed as well. TV companies CANNOT afford to rig those as the Regulators will be auditing the votes with a fine toothed comb.
Comment by hammy — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 21:59
I’ve never really watched the programme before till this year, my fiancee does. All i want to know is how Sharon can justify sending home a talented singer just because sharon was very weak and did not want to make a decision. Isn’t that what judges do?? Hope has been carried by Phoebe the whole way through this tournament and only she deserves to be where she is now. Sorry Beverly you were cheated tonight.
Comment by Kem — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:00
Right, so once more, genuine talent has been flouted in favour of a crap girl band.
In what world, does yet another manufactured, superficial batch of teenagers win over someone like Beverley? She radiates warmth, intelligent and talent. This woman, a primary school teacher, is exactly the type of ambassador education craves.
I think that many of our children have been failed tonight. Many have finally seen a teacher doing something really meaningful throughout this competition, only to be stopped in her tracks. So much for leading by example and providing positive role models, eh Sharon?
Comment by JBarsam — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:01
What a farce. No-Hope should never have been on the show never mind have reached this far. Even I could sing better than them! Sharon should have done her job properly and sent Hope back to oblivion and not Beverly. ‘X Factor’ should be renamed ‘X Farce’. Have they all forgotten what happens when rubbish wins!
Comment by Humboldt — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:06
Time for Sharon Osborne to be booted out of x factor.
Teh acts she pickec this year were poor and have bombed.
Now she does not even have the guts to vote for the one of the best performers this year - Beverly. Choosing instead to cop out and leave it to the public vote.
If your listening x-factor - it’s time for Mrs.O to go - she has nothing worthwhile to contribute!
Comment by ScottyB — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:06
X Factor is fixed and I will never watch it, vote on it or anything to do with it again. Neither should you!!!
Comment by Kellie — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:07
Sharon, you are a disgrace…..you are PAID to be a judge and yet again you tried to be nice to everyone and failed to make a decision. I am sure you thought that Beverley would go through but you bottled it!!!!
Go back to LA and do us all a favour; you are a waste of space as a judge!
Comment by Viv — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:09
Im so sicken by sharons actions i think sharon should resign from her position on the judging panel she is not doing her job clearly beverley had the better voice those girls are crap and are only getting through on there looks this show is turning out to be rubbish im never watching it again sharon i have changed my mind about you i thought you were a nice woman. Being married to ozzy is the only thing that made you popular you stupid woman…
Comment by juanita — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:10
couldnt agree with you more there hammy. i was one of those who said it should go to public because its fair and we are the ones paying for it. and i stand by that statment. now people are saying sharon took the cowards way out!!! not at all. she chose the fair option. i am more of a fan of beverley than hope but hope were more popular with the general public. end of.
Comment by lindsay — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:10
Urgh. As if Hope stayed in this week. I’m so disappointed.
Beverley was by FAR better than them. X-Factor is completely fixed. I’ve said it since the night Kimberley left, she’s a friend of mine and they gave the public the complete wrong impression of her on purpose.
Tonight has just convinced me even more, that this show is a total joke.
Comment by Rhian-Louise — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:10
look i agree that berverly shouldnt off been out tonight but who here actually voted for her?
Comment by pj — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:11
I will Never Ever watch Xfactor Again. I am utterly speechless
Come on how can you say Bev’s song choice let her down. Why didn’t any of you say if after she sang? You all gave her a good feedback. Come on we all heard, it was live. So don’t try to pull a fast one. So Sharon why did you not vote for Bev. You said after she sang that she was fantastic and sang it perfectly. It seams like it is only Danny that stuck to her words and her comments were consistent with her decision.
Iam totally put off now.
Comment by ann — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:11
Totally agree with Viv, I am sure Sharon thought that the Public would have voted for beverley and so yet again took the easy option by trying to get out of making a decision….backfired today though and the compertition is weaker as a result. Sharon go home and do something that you are good at……which is?????

FIX FIX FIX! Sharon wanted to keep Beverly but was told by the Organ Grinder to save HOPE if they were in the bottom 2! She wimped out hoping the public vote would have saved Beverly but she got it wrong. Did you see Simon’s face when HOPE got through?? UNGRACEIOUS!
Why would Sharon make the comment ”You’ll see why I am doing this” if she genuinely wanted HOPE to stay in the competion!
Beverly deserved a chance, HOPE were probably going to get a contract if they got knocked out ANYWAY!!!
Come on guys.. Keep Simon’s two acts in the bottom two, he derserves it! I know its not the acts fault but it is SIMONS!

Hi,
We live in Ireland - this is to complain that the TV3 broadcast of the Xfactor last six contestants today 24/11/2007 the numbers for voting tonight was mixed up and as such we are very sure that was what affected the Beverly’s Voting -
TV3 the Irish channel that broadcasted the Xfactor programme - after the first part of the show - displayed the numbers as follows:
15137121 —
Add
01 to vote Nikki
03 to vote Beverly
We all voted Berverly on 1513712103 all thinking it was Beverly unknown we were voting for Nikki who did not perform at all.
Just before the start of the 8.40PM xfactor the results TV3 announced they were sorry the numbers were mixed up for Nikki and Beverly.
We have tried contacting TV3 but no one to take our call also we called the ITV enquiried number on the TV3 website still no response.
Can this be looked into - and where possible - a re-count of the votes or this particular broadcast be cancelled -
I finally was able to speak to someone in ITV over the phone and she said that problem was for TV3 to deal with not ITV.
Something should be done, this is in justice to Beverly.
Regards
Lovender

BEVERLYS NO WAS 3 FOR VOTING IN IRELAND YET JUST BEFORE THE RESULTS WERE ANNOUNCED IT WAS ANNOUNCED THAT NIKIS NUMBER WAS 3 SO INFACT ALL THOSE WHO THOUGHT THEY VOTED FOR BEVERLY VOTED FOR NIKI. THAT WAS SOME FIX AND SHARON SHOULD HAVE DONE THE RIGHT THING. SHAME ON YOU

It was obvious to all the Judges that Beverly was far superior to Hope. She should still be in the competition heading for the final.
What a cowardly thing for Sharon Osbourne to do!! I have lost all respect for her and would not bother watching XFactor again should she return as a Judge in the next series.
Comment by Ray D — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:15
What a total fix … I realise the public voted for Hope more than Beverley but many of those who vote for hope are voting for the image of Hope (how many are lads that fanncy them). Personally I think Hope are only surviving because Phoebe’s carrying them and personally I find them a bunch of girls who seek to bring air-headed, sex-obsessed performances with no soul.
Bring back Bev and let’s have a real competition.
Also Simon, please stop dribbling over the girls it embarasses men everywhere.
Comment by Marbles — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:16
I’ve always been a BIG fan of Sharon, but NO MORE!!
What happened tonight was absolutely shocking and has turned the show into a laughing stock. Simon is an arrogant laughing stock following this, and Sharon, well she must have some sort of dementia. I watch NO MORE!

Hey i thought sharo was so wrong toight she has constantly priased beverley what was she playing at she has in one stroke got out of the competetion the only real soulful singer hang your head in shame mrs osborne as you did tonite you have made a grave mis judgement to prove a point against who????? anwser please if you can hpoe are only a one hit one singer act beverly has soul more soul and honesty than you will ever have MRS…..
Comment by james — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:28
What a tawdry show this has become -one of the best singers on the show for a long time sent home over a bunch of out-of-tune girls with a collective charisma bypass. Another fix, another viewer lost for what is now a sad joke.
Comment by Geoff — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:30
Dear Hammy don’t be daft! Votes from the public were always going to be higher cos there are five in the group. Do your math hammy no brain.

well said hammy…
Comment by Ben — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:33
What a disaster.
If that is what the public wants, them I’m afraid on this occasion they’ve made a huge mistake, along with Sharon. She knew Beverly should have gone through, her dumbfounded expression when she heard the result told us that much. Hope, is like any other girl group going. Their saving grace is Pheobe, which has been repeatedly stated by the judges. The trouble is they’re supposed to be a GROUP not a solo artist with backing singers.
I thought the way Beverly took the news was really admirable, ‘this is not the end.’ Good for her. Oh and I admired the fact that she thanked Simon, even though upon hearing the result he stood up grinning from ear to ear clapping… Well attempting too, considering the booing coming from the audience.
The fact that he did that just to get at Louis was pathetic. He showed such a lack of respect and I think it’s terrible. It’s all about the judges’ personal rivalries and not about the contestant. They need to get over their huge egos and remember who the program is supposed to be about.
Basically I loved Beverly, I thought she really was amazing.
Hope are good, just not good enough to be anything other than ordinary and it’s a real shame that they are still there and Beverly is on her way home.

Comment by conor — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:40
Bev took it well. She’d not have won anyway. She was soooooo much better than hope but she’s black, and black people don’t win X factor they win Idol which has far better talent on it. Yer yer Leona won last year a truly deserved win, an amazing voice, the acceptable shade of “black” for the general British public. Thats just my opinion.
Comment by funky mama — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:46
Sharon, I thought you were a strong woman but you are so weak. You totally let the side down tonight.
What a ridiculous result - Hope can’t sing to save their lives, they are only through because of people like Simon whose brain is in their pants!
Sorry but they were totally out of tune, weak and could never hold a candle to Bev.
What a total farce the ‘X Factor’ has shown itself to be tonight. Thats the last time I watch it.
Bands like Hope and Spice Girls show me that real talent obviously doesn’t matter - the industry doesn’t deserve Bev who not only has the best voice I have heard for years but also a wonderful personality and talent oozing out of her.
Shame on you Sharon.
Bev, we love you!!!

Comment by Katja O'Neill — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:46
Based on tonight’s performances I did have Hope and Beverley in the bottom two. But definitely thought that Hope should have gone tonight. Still, I can’t imagine them being in the competition much longer.
On a separate note, I thought that tonight, for the first time, Leon came into his own and was the best performer.
Comment by HC — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:49
I was very disappointed with tonight’s result. I think ‘Hope’ didn’t have a hope, so I was surprised that Sharon Osborne should cop out and not vote them off. We all know they’ll be in the bottom two again next week, so why don’t we just put them out of their misery now - and ours!!
Comment by Philip — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:53
I think Sharon did the right thing, obviously if Beverly was more popular than Hope then she would have been staying. I have never been a Beverly fan as far as vocals go, just not my type of singer, she does seem like a really lovely person though. On saying that I do agree that Hope was not as good, but they were the correct two to be at the bottom.
Rhydian and Same Difference for the final I believe.
Comment by Mark — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 22:53
Beverly should have been kept in she was by far the best. The best thing about hope was Phoebe’s dress can can anyone tell me where its from !!!

Sharon,
Shame on YOU !
Bev had a great song & did a great job !
As for hope - they should be called hopeless
We all know Simon has 99% control but……….
Is this show going to turn out to be a scandal / fix?
Comment by M — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 23:05
well what a load of old cobblers….Hope - more like ‘no hope’ they are absolutely crap…what a fix by the pervy puppet master and his cronies…Hope should’ve gone a long time ago..!!!!!
Comment by denise — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 23:08
Sharon completly bottled it tonight, she didn’t want to be seen as the ‘wicked witch’ who voted the persistently weak Hope out and relied too much on the public vote instead. Shame on you Mrs Osbourne!
Comment by Lesley — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 23:09
The show is a complete fix. Hope are talentless. Beverley has more talent in her little finger than all of them put together.
Sharon should be fired. She is no judge but frightened to make a decision. That’s what she is being paid for
Comment by Jackie — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 23:18
We get a week when all the acts up their game, except Hope who were just as bad as usual, and along come the judges and ruin it all. I thought these shows were about finding people with talent but this show has become an ego trip for the judges who don’t seem to give a damn about the acts. This competition between the judges has taken over to the detriment of the artists who have to stand there listening to self righteous idiots arguing amongst themselves. Its all an utter disgrace.
Comment by colray — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 23:25
Absolute disgrace - Beverley absolutely rocked! - The best female singer on TV in years! I hope someone on the panel backs her talent, because the other group just hasn’t got a Hope!
Comment by CJ — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 23:43
Let’s face it… the act who have a better chance of suceeding today are Hope. Beverly has a great voice and she would do well for probably a year max and then would vanish. you have to have the right image as well as a voice and at least Hope are up to date and people would probably buy and download their songs. Didn’t really care much though, Rhydian to win!!
Comment by Laura — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 23:49
I think Sharon tried to play smart tonight by voting for beverly by thinking hope would have the fewest votes from the public. God didn’t that backfire!! Thats why Simon was smiling at Sharon so much as if to say your little plan backfired and Sharon looked mortified when she heard the result. She should hve just done the right thing and voted Hope off they were defo the worst tonight. All though can’t stand same difference, they just remind me off that couple off of The katerine Tate show that say “guess what…” “what?” oh you’ll never guess etc.. SO SO CHEESEY
Comment by Marie — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 23:51
Absolutely right hammy. If the lowest public vote was for Beverly then it is she who should have gone. Those who disagree are only stating what their personal opinion is. Next week the judges don’t get to decide. Perhaps it should be like that every week. That seems only fair. Why should the judges get to overrule hundreds of thousands of votes? Anyway - it’s all academic as the best one will win in the end whoever goes out next week.
Comment by ray — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 23:52
Hi again - when I put my comments on here the show had not even finished. The ‘editorial’ was on here before it had been broadcast. How come? I am not some ’sad person’ who lives for X Factor like someone has made out. Also when I made my comment, there were no other comments on here …strange! Tonight’s show was an absolute disgrace - well the final result was. HOPE were absolutely terrible - out of key! Perhaps the telephone votes should be published. X Factor has lost many ardent viewers tonight. I have always enjoyed the show but not anymore. You, especially Sharon (who I thought was supposed to me unbiased) have ruined the show for many, many fans. I will vote with my finger next week by pressing the remote control to any channel but ITV. It really saddens me missing out but you have just proven the show is fixed. When Hope do win the show, which is inevitable considering it is Cowell’s act, they’ll have the Christmas No 1 but that will be the last of them. They have one person who can sing - the rest well I can’t even say they are ‘eye candy’, but it is obvious they will win - they are Cowell’s act. I am really sad - I have been stupid enough to believe it was genuine and have loved the show. If you want to make your mark join me next week and don’t watch - we can make a difference - we owe it to Nicky, Rhydian and the other acts to make sure they get a fair chance. Come on ITV - be brave enough to publish the results. How come we couldn’t get through to vote for Beverley?
Comment by Christine Coffey — Saturday, 24 November, 2007 @ 23:54
Very shameful. There was everything wrong in the judges decision.First,Louise said last week’there’s space for a new girl group’ and compares HOPE to Spice Girls. At least, all spice girls can sing solo and as a group, but HOPE only has Phoebe carrying them along, week after week.Simone knows the rest of the girls in that group are crap, that’s why he puts Phoebe in the front line to make them all look good.He knows the rest of the girls will not propagate the group well,so he cleverly allows phoebe to always take the lead. They are not unique, probably wont sell much if they win.
Very Very Big shame to Sharon, a jugde that can’t take her stand in anything as revealed tonight(and she thinks that’s being impartial). Why be so diplomatic? No one voted for leona last year because she was good looking or nice.she was simply and evidently a star act and that’s why she won over Ray,you can not fault that. Shame on you Sharon.
Comment by lunmsy — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 00:12
I had so much respect for you Sharon but not after tonite’s result. No wonder you dont have any more contestant left as God could see right thru you.
You ought to be ashamed of yourself. It’s only today I got your biograpy from ASDA and trust me it would be returned first thing in the morning, i rather give the money to charity. YOU are a big LET DOWN to the woman soceity.
Comment by Thelma — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 00:17
Bev pulling lowest votes than HOPE? Think of it.Five girls each have their own individual fans out there voting for them as individuals and fans voting for them as a group, against Beverly who has fans voting for her (alone)as a solo contestant? Of course you will expect Bev to pull the lowest Vote, logically. But Sharon should have been reasonable to save Bev no matter her so called reason cos she was better than HOPE vocally.Only Danni made a reasonable judgment on Beverly.
Comment by lunmsy — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 00:25
I agree with hammy. Geez some of the comments on this post are ridiculous and others shocking. I mean Prossy, to link the vote in this competition to rascism is ludicrous. At the end of the day everyone had an opportunity to vote and the people who did decide to vote gave her less votes than anyone else and that is the end of it. Plus, even if she did survive tonight it seems inevitable that she wouldn’t have won anyway. Its not the first time she was in the bottom two. Saying that Beverley clearly is a talented person so I wish her all the best in the future.
Comment by R — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 00:37
This just show how difficult for a black to suceed in this country. Racism is allowed even in the public TV and no body cares. Even the girls could not believe themselves that they got more “votes” than Beverly. This is the British culture of idiolising wrong people. Then, when things goes wrong they blame those people. Just like the England National team. Let Hope win the X Factor and see how many album they are going to sale. They will be just like the England team. This is why we have horrible singers in this country.
Comment by Proches — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 00:48
Sharon bottled it tonight. That’s it for me and X-factor. It was a fix. Why is everyone so scared of Simon C to the extent that Sharon daren’t vote for the obvious choice(Hope) to be sent home. She bottled it and I’m through with X Factor, this series and any future ones. It’s a fix.
Comment by Beryl — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 00:59
this the END for sharon’s joke as a judge. The ultimate wannabe showed her true colors once again! Her acts are always the first to go and her overdose of tantrums and childish behaviour continue poissoning talented artist careers. Please leave the show as you promised before… You will not be missed by the viewers or the artists or their families or Danni or Rhydian. Remember all the humiliation he’s been through from the talented kelly osbourne’s mummy.
Beverly is the talented diva and good person you will never be. Good luck to Niki! Unfortunatly you will need it in the joke factor…
Comment by david — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 01:06
Furthermore, there is a total absence of evidence that Beverley had polled the lowest number of votes. The number of votes was never announced. I expect that will be fixed too, notwithstanding ITV’s recent exposure of falsification of telephone calls fiddles. Will they ever learn? Probably not.
Comment by Beryl — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 01:11
I think most people on here need to get a life. People who can sing getting chucked out is the nature of the game!
It’s a public vote, Sharron bottled it and it went completely to the public so get over it!!!
Both acts keep appearing in the bottom two, Hope will probably go next week and if Beverly hadn’t went tonight she would next week - she may have talent but there’s no way she could have won - she doesn’t have the public’s backing.
Comment by Jane — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 01:13
Guess I was the only one who was happy Hope stayed then? Dont get me wrong Beverly was a decent singer. But at the end of the day whether Beverly stayed this week, she would have gone next week. Im more annoyed with the fact leon gets through every week with the sympathy vote…. people are only voting for him because he looks as though his gonna **** himself everytime he is on stage!
Comment by Daz — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 01:34
I am totally shocked at disgusted that Beverley, the only person who can actually sing out of that stupid array of no-hopers, has now been kicked out of the X-Factor. She was the only reason I watched the programme. She is fantastic and should be as famous as Brenda Edwards who didn’t make it, yet was chosen for musicals such as Chicago. Beverley has real soul, real talent, and is such a lovely, caring woman. Those hopeless girls that make up Hope are only there because of Simon - they have zero charisma and cannot sing in tune. Rhydian is a joke act, Niki can sing but lacks personality and class, and Leon is sweet but can’t sing all that well. As for Same Difference, get rid of them, please! Make them stop! They are painful to watch. A grave misjudgement was made tonight, and I am never going to watch the X Factor again.
Comment by Sylvia — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 01:45
I must be the only person on here who thinks Phoebe sang better than Beverley tonight.
Comment by Steph — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 01:47
I have followed x factor for a long time now. I will not be watching again after tonights sham. I don’t understand what happened as Beverley is clearly the better singer and better performer. Was Sharon under instructions to vote for Hope. Yet another example of media manipulation. ITV you have lost a viewer as this was such blatant fix and I have admired Sharon up to now but either she was ordered to do this or she just lost her common sense. Hope were such amateurs backed up by the fact that they were in the vote off so often. Best of luck to Beverley and I will only be tuning into Strictly Come Dancing from now on.
Comment by Keith Renton — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 02:02
I’ve just come home to watch the results and am really shocked.
Bev’s performance was barnstorming; Hope weak by comparison. What on earth was Sharon thinking of?
Comment by Teresa — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 02:02
disappointing sharon, that’s true, i dont even wanna think she’s completely manipulated. however i dont think bev has the best voice as a black woman, just think of dionne last year and even better brenda 2 yrs ago…those were voice but voice is not everything…
but yeah…cant believe hope are still in, this really sucks!
and Prossy, pls, lets stop talking shit…this has nothing to do with racism or wathever…u know what? u are the one who feeds the racist thing with post such as urs! nd, yeah, i’m black!
Comment by antonia — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 02:04
Thanks hammy for that, if we all voted for Beverly initially then she wouldn’t have been in the last two spots and you all wouldn’t need to moan and rant. This goes to show you that atimes an act who could have gone home based on public vote is actually saved by the judges.
I do agree with Sharon, both acts represent two different groups so fair play. So people quit looking for who to blame.

Hey I agree with hammy above- next week will start to show what the public really want when their votes alone count. What should happen is we should be told the placing and not who has got through in random order. If Sharon had not put it to deadlock and we all knew she would then I for one would never of guessed the public voted for Hope above Beverly. I would of put Nikki in the bottom two tonight. Her story of how she auditioned won the hearts of loads at the start. How many times do we have to be bloody reminded? Louis Walsh you are an absolute P***k. the hi light of the night for you was to see your band promote their new song.
I would buy music released by the Riddler and Leon but that is it. This has got to be the worst ever X Factor.
there should be one for the teenagers alone- that might be worth watching. (Thinking back to that young black lad that Danni sent home.)
Comment by Sue — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 02:41
I’m speechless!
I was shocked to see Beverly in the bottom two but I thought this would be such an easy final decision - Hope would lose by a mile. Beverly’s voice is powerful and her performances are exhilirating and passionate. I listen to her songs in absolute awe. Hope consists of essentially a one girl lead with backing vocals - this is not a girl band, and in any case, Phoebe’s voice is really not that strong. Hope’s performance tonight was the worst by far. I’ve rarely enjoyed their singing particularly as they use so many xfactor backing vocalists when they have 5 vocalists already!).
At decision time, I thought, “I’m glad the final decision is up to the judges because they are their to judge talent”. Public vote can be skewed by many factors and the popular acts aren’t necessarily the best, they just happen to have a lot of groupies/fans. So when Sharon said she’d take it to public vote - I thought - Oh NO! How could Sharon do this when her comments during the show clearly supported Beverly (didn’t she wish Hope, “good luck!”?).
Maybe Sharon thought that Hope were so bad, and that Beverly was so good that public vote would reflect that?? No Sharon! That’s what you’re there for - to judge and balance out the inequities in the public voting system! Deadlock should only be used when the 2 lowest acts are equally bad or equally good. Tonights show was a no brainer.
I will really miss seeing Beverly next week - can they bring her back? She would have made it to the final 3. Hope’s last performance will be next week. I will make sure I go and wash my hair when they sing next.
Comment by Ros — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 03:06
I agree that Sharon could have showed more spine but at the end of the day Beverly was voted out. Maybe the Irish TV3 number mix-up was to blame but actually I am not really surprised about the result. First of all, Beverly is black and that doesn’t really go down well with the British. Then, the show is called X-Factor and not “best singer”. Look around you guys and see what sort of people are dominating British TV: utterly untalented airheads that make a fortune by having sex in the big brother house, throwing tandrums in the salon or eating maggots in the bush. Are they to blame? Are TV makers to blame? Don’t think so… Its us, we create those monsters by watching that rubbish and buying those paperso In that respect I agree with previous comments: we should all get a life and switch the box off more often…
Comment by Alex — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 03:14
Maybe Beverley didn’t get as many votes cos people thought she didn’t need them.
They should do a quick “RE-VOTE” if it goes into deadlock. Only then would you actually see who the public really wants to keep in.
I didn’t vote for Beverley, BUT if I had known that she’d be in the bottom two, I would have.
Comment by Ruman — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 03:23
Our family have been regular viewers of X Factor and Pop idol and have gone to the tour shows too. But tonight we have kicked the habit because of one monumental mistake by Sharon, whose judgement and credibilty (and that of the show) is completely shot. She said she did it for a reason - presumably to create the drama of a lockout (cue the music, lights caption etc.) The girl group hope are in fact hope-less. They cannot sing in tune (even the solitary lead singer tonight), they cannot dance (just very limited movements) and they even look stilted walking down to the front of the stage in shoes to accentuate their legs. I am past ogling at young teenage girls, thank you. Beverley was a class singer, full of emotion and her “legend” was appealing too as a working teacher.
That was my last ever episode of X Factor. It is sadly lost its credibility and is no better than the old ITV wrestoling shoes of yesteryear. As for the public vote - how can anyone like Hope. Have they got a management organisation or a big family voting multiply for them?
I hope the young Scottish guy Leon goets to the final two with Rydian, but I am so disappointed and disillusioned now I won;t ever be watching again. Seems i am not alone in feeling this way. A big error of judgement from Sharon to lose viewers - she has absolutely no consistancy - her comments when the acts appeared was totally contradicted when she voted at the end. Desperation, sorry. Bye.
Comment by Charlie — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 03:42
Well NO HOPE got through, and all because Sharon took the easy way out. used to admire this lady but not any more. i am disgusted with this result.
i really think that the only votes that should count are the public’s and the judges shouldn’t have any votes at the end. Let the public decide and stop this silly little bitching that goes on within the judges.
cant wait for the final as if simon has his way it will be the 2 groups. not that either are really bad ( i couldnt do it) but they are not the best. Louis by far had the best acts this year and yet they are all getting sent home.
Comment by Sheryl — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 06:41
Can’t believe Beverly got voted off, probably due to Sharon being in Simon Cowells wallet! There has been lots of little coments about Hope being in the Cowell dressing room so may be there’s some under table lip sync going on.
Comment by Shep — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 07:15
I am dissappionted in Sharon whom I previously so much cherish and respected. She should have been bold enough to send Hope home. Sending Beverly home is a disaster to this competition and infact there is no longer competition for me.
Beverly never mind you are a star, and the world should watch out for you.
Comment by Jonny Smith — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 08:32
Sharon may have chickened out but at the end of the day the public had more votes for Hope.I think the results should always be down to the public vote, after all, its the public who’ll be buying the albums and not the judges.Beverley will no doubtedly go much further than Hope in the big bad world. Don’t know why the judges keep rating Phoebe, she sounds like a singing schoolgirl, no depth in her voice at all.I shall still be watching, just to see the gorgeous Simon Cowell!
Comment by Annette — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 08:34
I cant believe “Mrs O” voted Beverley out what a wimp!!!
Beverley was amazing last night she gave it her all and is such a lovely person to go with it.
Sharon just didnt have the guts to send Hope home and was easier for her to leave it to the public.
Hope were crap it was just like a single person singing with backing singers, Hope out next week!!!
Nikki and Rhyd will be in the final guaranteed!!!!
Comment by Lilly — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 08:47
If only Sharon had quit when she was threatening too! Sorry Sharon think you’re lovely and bubbly as a person,
however, you are far too nice and show no back bone to stand up to Simon.
Having been raised around music from the day I was born I know talent when I hear it.
Wow I would love to be a judge on that show. If people think Simon can be cutting I’d sure give him a run for his money.
It is definitely time that Leon who is consistently only an average performer and offers the personality of a wet blanket, and Same difference who would be wonderful for Disneyland entertainment. They can sing however, I find them sickeningly too cutesy. I think now is not their time they need a few years to mature a little bit.
And as for Hope-they only made it this far by being totally trashy in the first shows. Yes they are all gorgeous girls to look at, however, that doesn’t make them able sing any better! I have never yet bought an album based on how the singer’s legs look in a far too short skirt!
And Luey, Luey, Luey! Wasn’t it your idea in the first place too form these trashy groups? Shame on you. And Simon was so adverse to the idea. If only he’d stuck to his guns we wouldn’t now be suffering the affliction that one refers to as Hope.

If its true that Irish voters were given the wrong numbers to phone and many more votes would have gone to Beverley, then the judges should make the decision to let Bev come back!!
Thats a disgrace!
Comment by Katja — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 09:43
I think that Louis Walsh should sign up Beverley, he would have a big solo artist in his camp, Are there any record producers out there with any brains (not Simon Cowell) should give Beverley a recording contract, She has a wonderful voice and personality that lights up room. Beverley you go for it girls I’d buy your album anyday KEEP IT UP AND DON’T GIVE UP
Comment by Sharon Nutt — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 09:48
What an awful show! Beverley should not have even been in the last two. She is brilliant and I would have expected her to have been in the top three in the final. Hope she goes on now on to an amazing singing career. Sharon Osbourne has lost oh so much credibilty now. Who would want her as a manager? Go back to the US Sharon! The show stinks!
Comment by Steve — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 09:49
I am so shocked that Beverley is gone. Its obvious that she didnt get enough votes because of her colour. I dont watch x factor anymore, so unfair! Cant believe how Hope and Same Difference are there every week, im so angry…
Comment by Julie — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 10:01
What a cop out!!! I used to think Sharon had balls. As a judge you know you are expected to make tough decisions. However, last night was NOT a tough decision to make!!! It was blatantly obvious to everyone who was the best act and clearly one of the easier ’send homes’ to do of the series so far. WHY OH WHY did she let herself down by doing that? I used to respect Sharon but I’m sorry i’ve no respect for her anymore. I feel really sorry for Beverly, she is a fantastic singer and deserved much better treatment than that. I hope we see a lot more of her . Go Girl!!!
Comment by Gail — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 10:02
That is RUBBISH!!!
Beverley was my favourite contestant! Hope should have gone home. Sharon made the wrong decision.
Comment by Milly — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 10:17
Hope are HopeLESS and Same difference are SO IRRITATING
they cant sing to save their lives, they are BLOODY AWFULL
whoever is voting for them STOP.
Same CRAP
and Hope LESS to Go Pleassee!
Rhydian To Win , hes got talent! x
Comment by Rhydian Fan! =] — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 10:21
Last night was a disgrace!! I have always enjoyed the show and believed in its integrity, to a point, but last night has just proved that i am totally niave! I was told when this series started that It was already fixed that Hope would win!!! I refused to believe it but last night has just proved that that infornation was correct. I have always been a fan of Sharon Osbourne but she should be ashamed of herself tonight! Beverley was clearly the better act of the two and Hope can in no way be described as a group, they are a singer with four backing singers!! The singer, (Phoebe) while being a good singer and improving all the time, can not hold a candle to Beverley and the rest of the acts. I thought that the point of the Judges deciding between the bottom two was to make sure that accidents with the public vote did not happen and the better acts would be saved. I don’t see why this farce should continue! Have the other acts been informed that Hope are the guaranteed winners? If not, then last night should be an eye opener for them too!!!!!!!! Why not just declare Hope the winners and have done with it? I certainly won’t be watching any more shows!
By the way, I tried to post this message on an itv.com forum and it was rejected! Strange huh?
Comment by Pam — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 10:24
The silly arguing between Simon and Louis detracts enormously from their professionalism. They are like schoolboys. Surely they can make critical comment, honestly, without it being directed as a personal hit on the other. Can they not put a few words together about the act they have seen without trying to make a hit on one another. Each should be publicly censored for it. Track records or not, millionaires or not, they let themselves down every week with their unprofessional childishness. Grow up boys!!
Comment by Tom — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 10:33
I am still in shock. In a way, i shouldnt complain, I never vote, since the voting scandal, I havnt voted on any show, but I still think that Beverley should have not gone home, she was fantastic. I know the type of music i would buy and listen to, and Hope are not among them. I have cd’s by Andy Abraham - remember him? as I think he has a lovely voice. Hope you get a contract Bev, I look forward to buying your music. Who will go next Rhydian? If he isnt in the top 3, then i will think its a fix.
Comment by dawn — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 10:34
If anyone here think that Hope should have stayed theyre tone death. They can’t sing for gods sake, it’s like a mix between strangling cats and cows mooing.
THIS IS A FIX!!!
Hope are hopeless, and i’d NEVER buy theyre records and neither would anyone I know!!
Comment by Bo — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 10:47
What a load of rubish, how can anyone truely believe Hope are more talented than Beverly? Sharon has always been so vocal when her girls were voted off, so why did she take the easy way out? instead of standing up for what is right.
GET HOPE OUT, GET HOPE OUT, GET HOPE OUT
Comment by Marcus — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 10:49
Hope are the worst act in there. I didn’t like them from the start!! And why is it whenever they were clothes to cover themselves, they’re in the bottom two? Is it just me or is that really happening? Beverley should NOT have gone out!!
Comment by Lillian — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 10:51
Your right Annette, it was the public vote u can see in sharons face when beverly was voted that she picked the wrong decision, but I have to say a lot on here say rigged phone calls its been like that for ages. I did think Beverly and Hope would be in bottom 2 Leon was superb as was rhydian and Niki, Same Difference were actually ok, the brother best sister is rubbish. Anyhow it happens if u can lip read what louis walsh says we might be into sommit cause beverly agrees on sommit i wonder what he said
Comment by Michael — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 10:54
My mum, dad and I watch X factor and try to be impartial and thought Hope should have gone out weeks ago. We have long respected Sharon but last night she just simply got it wrong and one of the best acts went home prematurely. If Simon thinks that Hope had better talent than Beverly then he needs a hearing aid.
The show has turned into a farce!!

Comment by Hanna — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 11:02
Even assuming the vote is not fixed (well lets live in fantasy land for a moment) the public vote is a popularity contest not a talent contest - Leon really isn’t up to it but he has the public backing so there he stays. I thought the idea of the judges vote was to save the contest from just the sort of thing that happened last night but Sharon bottled out.
Truth will out, its public vote only now and Hope haven’t had the public backing so if they are still there in a couple of weeks it really does scream FIX
We haven’t got the talent of last year, and the judges behaviour is appalling - is it real or some sort of bizarre act. Simons behaviour after the result was shameful, and the bickering between Louis and Simon is petty and childish - they should focus on the contestants not one-another. Surely they could give constructive criticism without the petty nastiness.
Hats off to Girls Aloud last week who asked the judges to recognise the stress and cut the contestants some slack.
So why do we, a fifty something couple with a background in serious music watch the bl***y show? Just for the glimmer of talent that comes through in the likes of Leona and Bev - who was our favourite to win!
Best of luck Bev - you are a star.
Comment by Margaret — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 11:03
Sharon - it’s time to pack up and leave - you haven’t got a clue and clearly have no place on this show as a worthy critic or judge. I’ve lost my admiration for you and you are not the strong, sensible woman everyone thinks you are - you are in Simon’s pocket and as you yourself pointed out last week - on the payroll!
Comment by Julie — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 11:12
What is all the a pleasant but average voice and no charisma. Hope will not win and I agree they are terrible.
Rhydian is in a class of his own which is exactly what the judges are saying. He is the only one that week after week can stay in tune.
I also agree that the rules should be changed so that the act with the lowest public vote should go. The sing off is pointless.
Comment by Peter — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 11:23
TRAGEDY!
Comment by simon — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 11:28
I thought the whole point of the bottom “two” singing again was to give the “acts” an opportunity to prove themselves once more. When Beverley sang for the second time it was clear that her performance demonstrated more of her talent than was evident during her first performance; the power and passion in Beverley’s voice was even more present the second time around. Hope,in contrast, where out of tune, and in many other ways too, some distance from matching Beverley’s performance. So,not only does being in the bottom “two” allow from the contestants to compete against each other again, it also allows the judges to take responsibility in making a decision on choosing the best act second time around based on this performance. It makes no sense to give this vote to the public, unless the public were given the opportunity to vote again. The first vote in based on the first performances only. So, the “deadlock” part of the show does not work, because it is wholly unfair given that it does not take the second performance into account, and needs to be re-considered.
Comment by Mike — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 11:32
did you see simon grinning his little stupid face off? laughing when beverly went out? i thought better of Sharon. i’m not sayin it is, but it probably woz a fix, ‘coz people could think it’s racisim now. Hope’s crapp, how did bev have the fewest votes? Hope best go in the quater finals, and in the semis, Same Diff. Simon probably did fix it, ‘coz he nos Same Diff won’t win.
Comment by indya hyams — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 11:35
Hope were obviously going to go through cos they had 5 times the vote. What was the matter with Sharon Osbourne? She is in the pocket of Simon Cowell, and she did say i dont know why im making this decision. She was wrong to make it and she know she was. BRING BACK BEVERLY!!!
Comment by Sarah — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 11:44
It is a complete fix that, Hope are actually really bad and i am quite surprised they are still in. They should have gone out, and Sharon Osbourne is one of the worst judges ever and i hope she takes that back about whst she said last night and i want Beverly back in. i want Beverly back!!!!

My estimation of Sharon has been severely dented. Not only did she make a huge mistake by her actions, she has now demeaned the show.At the beginning of the broadcast she said she could sit back and be impartial well, there’s being impartial and there’s copping out, sadly the latter applied.Hope, or should I say No Hope have no chance of winning and Simon knows that.Thank God for the Riddler whom I believe will be a huge STAR.
Comment by nigel — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 11:58
i cant believe it!!
hope are awful!!!!!!!!
it makes me so mad to think they would put a singer and 4backing singers together and call them a ‘girl group’
even the main singer cant sing!!!!!!!!!!!!
they cant sing, cant dance, they do actions and poses where they are TRYING to look sexy when they are clearly uncomfortable and it makes the viewers uncomfortable!!
Bev can sing.. isnt that what this ’show’ is all about
i actually think sharon thought more people would vote for beverly so maybe her plan back fired but she SHOULDN’T have taken that risk!!!!!!
i look forward 2 watching beverly!!!!!!!!
EVERYONE i know is in shock that HOPE went through instead of a woman with class and most important of all…. she can actually sing
i know myself and everyone i know are not watchin any more as it is CLEARLY a joke!!
Comment by shocked!! — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 12:05
Well, having never contributed to anything like this before this is my second comment.
What you or I think of the result really doesn’t matter, what is important to the credibilty of the show and to the contestants, who put so much of themselves into this, is that the result was fairly arrived at.
Having read a little more now I am convinced that the result was unfairly reached and should be subject to independent scrutiny or, alternately, Bev should be brought back for a re-run. After all, they are one contestant down so schedules will allow this.
Why. Firstly, under the rules of the show, the judges mediate the public vote on their own opinion of the quality of the performances. The vote returns to the public only if the judges are genuinly deadlocked. It is clear from Sharon’s earlier comments that she believed that Beverley gave the better performance, her vote to send her home was cast to change the decision mechanism by throwing it back to the public vote. Of course you can ’spin’ this to say she really couldn’t decide etc etc but does anyone believe that? You can’t change judging mechanisms on the fly like this Mrs O!
Secondly the phone numbers were mixed up in Ireland. I believe that it would be easy to reverse the votes on those numbers and calculate whether Beverley would still be in the bottom two. If there is the least doubt that she would then the vote should be null and void.
Sorry if this sounds a bit pompous but Beverley deserves fairness - that is all any of them can ask.

i think the x-factor have lost a LOTTTT of veiwers now!

Like a lot of people I very disappointed at Sharon ‘ducking out’.Think she banked on public voting for Beverly and got it wrong.
Did not like Rydian at all at beginning of contest.Thought he was an arrogant, over confident Welshman who could ’sing a bit’.
I got it wrong! Rhydian is in a class of his own, head and shoulders over all other contestants. He sings with great ability, talent and most of all with passion. It is a long, long time since a singer has reduced me to tears and with a song which is not one of my favourites. Rhydian comes across as a sincere, professional talented Welshman who can sing ‘quite a bit! He has got to be in the final and I would bet that Simon Cowell will sign him up win or lose. Why are Hope and Twice as Nice still in the competition? Don’t think Hope are going anywhere, wereas Twice as Nice might make panto, childrens tv or a Colgate advert. Still love the show though, good entertainment
Comment by Anne Kenney — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 12:25
I think hope will sell more songs in the charts than Beverly, I get fed up with Big women belting out old ballads bit boring and might sell one or 2 singles but that will be it, It’s alright all you moaning that Sharon did the wrong thing but at the end of the day Beverly got less votes, So the general public must prefer Hope or you lot didn’t pick up the phone and vote, Stop whinging,
Comment by Lee — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 12:50
what i find amazing is after hope sang sharon said she hoped the public would vote for them as she thought it wasnt great.
she totally praised bev and said she deserved to be in the competition.
then 30 mins later votes her of……………i smell a rat and a rancid one at that.
the only conclusion i can come to is they already have bev signed up in a record deal i dont think this is the last we have seen of her due to the fact beverly is a very emotional woman and never shed one tear when recieving the result screams record contract to me.
i cant believe hope are even in the top 5 there tone deaf.
Comment by lorraine — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 13:01
I think the judges decide their vote beforehand!! No way are Hope any where near as talented as Beverley. A total shambles. I thought Sharon was a strong woman, but she showed her true colours last night. Shame on her.

What a joke! Hope were completely out of tune and Phoebe’s voice isn’t strong. Are the judges tone deaf?
The competition this year is very weak compared with previous years. Beverley is not a patch on Brenda from last year and Maria Lawson from the year before.
This competition has really gone downhill. the judges are promoting their own agendas.

Look guys, we all know Beverly was the best act with a superior vocal and fantastic execution. Who cares what Simon, Danni, Sharon thinks or even Loui thinks. Only one thing is clear this show is not about talent but about those 4 liars and the TV boses making much of the money from people like us by just making fool of ourselves. The question we have to ask ourselves are we going to let ourselves fooled by paying our money?
verdict: watch the programs but don’t make calls!!!!!
Good luck Beverly, justice will prevail one day!!!

Last night’s performance was the ‘jumping the shark’moment for X-factor. Even with a programme like this, when you know vote-rigging has taken place in the past, suspension of disbelief in a fixed programme has to take place to make it work. That is no longer possible. Last night, on`one hand we had a singer (black) who has consistently given a good performance and yesterday not only successfully tackled a notoriously difficult tune but gave what has become rather a cliched song a new depth. On the other, we had 5 girls, most of whom couldnt hit the right note if given a large mallet each and who lack the personality of even Steve Brookstein (who could at least sing in tune). No contest, right? -particularly as the casting vote was with a judge who had promised to be ‘impartial’.
Wrong, of course. Next year I suggest ITV save us all time and put out the followng notice when auditioning for X-Factor. “Wanted, five bimbos willing to give a cheap thrill to a rich middle-aged sponsor. Ability to hit the ocasional right note welcomed but not as essential as showing a lot of cleavage and leg and appearing regularly in the tabloid press. Progress to the finals is guaranteed. You may have to face the occasional strong black woman with an amazing voice but dont worry - the judges prefer the pay cheque from said rich middle-aged sponsor to having an independent opinion.”
Comment by masimo — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 13:55
You could see Sharon wanted Beverly to stay she should have send to send Hope home! Hope is basically Phoebe with a few backing singers! Beverly deserved to stay! She has been great EVERY week. You never know though, sometimes the X Factor winnner dissapears after a year or so and another contestant gets a record contract! Only time will tell. Beverly will go far!
Comment by Rob — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 13:58
I won’t be watching anymore either. I personally think the judges should have nothing to do with the contestants besides judging them - they should be totally objective. That would be like the ‘Best in Show’ judge at Crufts having one of her own dogs in the Show Final - doesn’t make sense. How long is it going to take for people to realize that ‘girl’/'boy’ bands are fodder for the weak minded? We don’t need another girl band - as a species I think we should try to evolve past that. Beverly was the obvious superior musically - and if the one doing the main vocals for Hope last night was their strongest singer … that group has some real problems. It doesn’t take a lot to shake your ass and flutter your eyelashes. Any girl/woman can do that. It’s cheap. It does take a lot to have integrity and develop a true raw talent - which is what Beverly was doing before she was ‘voted’ off. I realized last night that she’s better than the show anyway … so good luck to her in her endeavours.
Comment by Stacie — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 14:09
I think that Sharon made the worst mistake she could by leaving it to the public vote, i think that Sharon thought that Hope were going to get the lower votes thinking that it would leave Beverly still in but it back fired on her. She just didnt didnt want the public to give her s..t, so therefor gave it to the public to vote (MASSIVE MISTAKE SHARON. Beverly i think by a MILLION miles is the best contestant on the X Factor, she should no way ever had gone home. And as for you Simon you should never have looked so smug, because there is no way that your Groups are going to make it anywhere near the final.
Comment by Jan — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 14:10
voting beverly off is the most unfair thing that happened. hope sound terrible what on earth was sharon thinking i bet she is regretting. it’s like those girls are fixed to win. the only competition that existed was between rhydian and beverly so there’s no point of watching since we know who the winner is unless he is sent away like beverly. i wouldn’t be shocked.
Comment by stella — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 14:19
Beverley was the only contestant that sang with soul, Sharon is two faced and deserves a smack for what she did. X-Factor has lost all interest for me now, Beverley was not only a beautiful person, her smile & voice came from the heart.
Comment by Dee — Sunday, 25 November, 2007 @ 14:20
I have never wrote a blog before, but last night just made me want to write.
Beverley nailed the song on the second time round. My partner who’s not into it had the tv on downstairs, and after she sang, he ran upstairs shouting, ‘how bloody amazing is she’.
Sharon what were you thinking? I realise you thought that the public vote would keep Beverley. People probably thought she’d be a dead cert so didn’t vote. So basically, your cocky arrogance has robbed a fantastic women of her dream. Well done, I hope you feel proud about that.
