Louis Walsh has spoken out about Sharon’s shock ‘nearly-exit’ from the X Factor. Since the incident, many people, including many commenters on this site, have claimed that Alisha is being unfairly favoured by the judges so as not to upset Sharon.
Louis said:
“She was seriously considering walking away. It was not a publicity stunt, but she knew she had to come back for her two acts. It’s life, it’s real. It’s part Jerry Springer. And I stick by Sharon totally. She was loyal to me when I was sacked.”
“They can’t replace her because there’s no-one else like her. And Simon Cowell cannot control her. That’s what makes it fantastic telly.”
Whatever the truth behind Sharon’s exit-or-not, if it was a publicity stunt it doesn’t seem to have worked - BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing had almost one million more viewers than Saturday’s X Factor.

Perhaps viewers are getting fed up with Sharons childish demonstrations. In my job we have difficult moments but walking out isnt an option.
Perhaps a bit more control and professionalism may help Sharons image. Both Louis and sharon need to display more adult behaviour. All the silliness is a real turn off.
The performers are the ones who are under the real pressure. Perhaps Sharon (and Louis should look to their example)

Hardly surprising that the X factor is losing viewers!
The show is 80% about the judges and their egos and about 2O% about getting new talent. The format is a step away from the pub Kareoka (spell?) machine and the acts that win get no where. The only good thing is that Simon C gets another few houses in Barbados!
The set tells it all the Judges are centre stage and the show is based around them!
The french equiv, Star academy is the real thing acts have to perform with real performers this week it s Kylie M. they have to sing duets, and really perform not a 2 minute song! There are also other performers who are chart toppers who appear performing with the contestants and believe it our not the judges are not the important factor!!
Any way what happens when you win the X factor not a lot!
The guy who won Star Ac. last year sadly died but and a big but! he has CDs out, programs about him he would have made it very big!
Also the set for Star Ac. is really huge and guess what the judges are tucked away in a corner!
No the X factor has seen it s self life come to an end
Sime Shaz and loue shouls be voted off!

Same Difference…is it just me, but what the hell are those two all about. I’m sorry, but they are just too weird to be true
If they really “have” to be on tv, I think it should be in a kids tv show rather than this
They are pathetic and hopefully, they will be voted off sooner rather than later

I think the decision to bring back Louis Walsh to adjudicate on the X-Factor was the WRONG DECISION.
As an Irishwoman, I am completely and utterly embarrassed by Louis Walsh. He has behaved with incredible infantile behaviour; towards his fellow judges and has been rather rude to the contestants; in particular to Same Difference & Hope.
It would be a blessing to leave Louis Walsh out of the X-Factor next year, he’s an embarrassment to Ireland to be honest and he’s a useless judge really..
Send Louis Walsh home… unfortunately he lives in Ireland but what can we do.. one doesn’t have to spend too much time in his company and for that I feel blessed.

Absolutely agree.. I was a bit fed up with Louis as well.. did he have to look so bloody bored & fed up everytime Same Difference took to the stage..?
Let himself down… I was glad when he was axed.. was it a publicity stunt to bring him back on the show I wonder because I never heard him so bitchy!
And another thing, Louis is only in it for the money as that’s the music business is.. a money making thing for the managers etc.. so when Nikki began losing her confidence due to Simon’s weekly put down comments; he started to concentrate more on Beverely leaving Nikki to sink or swim.. she sank… but not before Beverely beat her to the bottom of the ocean..
He hates to lose, the thoughts of Simon’s act “Same Difference” doing well & obviously liked by the voting public; made so many snide comments, upsetting a lovely gentle girl like Sarah - should be ashamed of himself. He’s a right Irish wanker! Sorry Ireland!
I liked Hope.. and he was horrible to them too..
Hopefully in 2008, no Louis Walsh.. kick him off! He is infantile, a big sulky child, a grumpy oul man. Bring on a new male judge; Somebody younger anyway!

Hi lads..
Do you know what I’d love.. what!?
I would love X-Factor to hold a competition for a public judge, to sit with them during the live finals to give their view - as a member of the public..
Fair enough, they’ll gain celebrity status for it - but I’d be interested in hearing what Joe down the road, or Mary over the wall thinks of the contestants.. because at the end of the day, it’s not their dreams that totally matter; it’s the people who they are asking money from - us; we buy the cds, t-shirts, go to gigs, travel up and down country for them… so why shouldn’t at least one member of the countries (Ireland & The United Kingdom) have a voice too!!
You can put me beside Simon!! Think he’s gorgeous! Love his white teeth!!
