Get ready for a double helping of The X Factor tomorrow as we see that the auditions have come to a close and the boot camp sessions begin. Rumour has it that, apart from seeing the auditionees trying to make a good impression in their first days at boot camp, we also get to see Dermot O’Leary break down in tears as he interviews a primary school teacher!

You can catch the first X Factor episode at 6.05 and the second installment at 8.30pm on ITV1

  1. What a pile of xxxx fancy selecting the blonde chav with a mediocre voice and kicking out the red head with the great voice - TV at it’s worst!!!

  2. What happened tonight? Why didn’t the “Wedding Singing” go through???? he was amazing. Instead they decided to let someone through who they know won’t win. Once again they give a place to someone who doesn’t deserve it. The “Wedding Singer” was amazing. He sang tough songs and still delivered. He would have been the guy that I would have voted for week after week and would have gladly sat in front of my TV on a saturday night and watched, But once again, just like last year i’m now going to be sat there shouting at the screen, GET HIM OFF!

  4. i totally agree with claire. i cannot beleive that the gut who could not sing was put through, have the judges lost the plot? They succeeded doing this with Chico but this guy is just a pain. The wedding singer should have gone through he was great

  5. Oh my God! This is nauseating. I have been hooked on X Factor from the start but enough is enough! If I have to watch any more crying and sob stories about dead relatives, it will be too soon. We all have dead relatives but I can’t go to work on Monday and break down in tears and tell my boss I’m doing my job because my dead father, or mother or husband believed in me. And I’m sick of the single parent thing as well. I am a single parent….so what? Do I parade my child at work to get the sympathy vote? Do I hell! And as for, ‘It means so much to me, It’s my dream’. Get a target, a realistic one and then do what the rest of us do…work bloody hard for your living. And for God’s sake stop sobbing! Do you have no dignity? Best of all was the contestant who thinks it is appropriate to go on National TV, child in tow, and announce that she was in an abusive relationship. It may well be that this is hitting a spot with some people but I am sick to the stomach and am turning off, which is a shame as I have really enjoyed previous series. Proles win yet again!

  6. Absolute travesty

First of all ‘The Wedding Singer’ does not get selected when he was way above most and was maybe booted because of not conforming to the ‘pretty’ looks, he definitely was not booted for his voice.

Then the young black guy - oh my, oh my Dannii, what a mistake you have made with that one - and also Daniel should have been selected for having a very distinct voice rather than a good but average voice like that single father guy has. rhydian is like G4 only as a single, full-of-himself guy who annoys all the way. No way should he have taken the place of the young black guy who was the best, best, best of all of them.

Simon also made a mistake by not selecting the 7 geeks - very loveable and much better than the same difference who are very happy, yes, but ultimately also very annoying.

The absence of the young black guy makes me want to stop watching - he was the very very very best and I cant believe he is gone. Again, Dannii, big big big big mistake!!!!

  7. How can the young black kid NOT go through????
Dannii, what the heck are you doing?
He was the most talented at all.

Also, the 7 geeks should have gone through instead of the same difference, ultimately a lot more entertaining.

Not putting the young black guy through makes me want to stop watching - he had winner written all over him!!

  8. What a load of rubbish. How can Sharon Osborne sit there and commend people for their performances and then send them home & conversely tell people how bad they did and then send them through!
I thought that the TV stations had learnt their lessons from rigging programmes.

  9. It seems very unfair that 2 out of the three groups in the live shows didn’t even enter originally as a group. This means that out of all the hundreds of groups who auditioned only 1 has made it to the live shows.
I am also becoming very cynical about people who appear to use their life issues to try and get on in the contest and apparently succeeeding. We all have issues in our lives but not everyone uses it to gain advantage
Also How could sharon let the girl through who only sang well at the first audition and not since but sent home two young girls with infinitely better voices!
It is going to be very interesting watching how things progress - the public are going to have to be very responsible with their voting going on actual talent and charisma and not being won over by ‘manufactured’ bands (unless they really prove themselves to be good) or those who will try and use emotional blackmail.
