James Rooney, 21 year old cousin of Wayne Rooney, has apparently got through the first stage Manchester auditions which were held in May. He will now be singing in the next round infront of judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne, according to The Sun online. A source said that when the producers discovered his famous relation, they were extremely keen to keep him in the show. Obviously he is expected to give the show a good ratings boost.

Oh my Gosh who was that Ice Queen I sang to in room D yesterday at the Glasgow auditions?? She should be F I R E D
Seriously, these people wouldn\’t know what the \”X-Factor\” was if it sha**ed them on top of the Eiffel Tower during a bloody fireworks display. If they are going to favour a middle-aged fatty with an inflatable microphone over a sexy scandanavian 23-year-old virgin who can sing in key and compose her own material… then this whole show is going to go down the tubes at the speed of light.
If it wasn\’t for a handful of charming camera men who took 5 mins to smile and at least pretend to take an interest in me as a human being… then today\’s experience would have been nothing short of a visit to Auschwitz in 1945.
What a absolute farce. Sort it out Simon.

I have an audition 2nd July, in Glasgow.
I applied in March and got the letter 4 weeks ago, shocked as didnt think I would get a chance of auditioning. can anyone who was there last year give me an idea of how long they think I will need to wait. I have a slot time of 9am-1200 and my kids are coming too, just so we are not waiting about all day.
Cheers

Hi there,
bad news i’m afraid. There isnt an open audition in Glasgow this year, i believe that the open audition was in London only. I received a letter asking me to go for an audition in glasgow, which is next week! I’ve had a thorough look at most x factor websites and there doesnt appear to be dates for an open audition for glasgow.
did you send your application away before 9th march?
