After the closest audience vote this series, the bottom two tonight consisted of The Chefs and, for the second night running, Nikki Sanderson. With Simon staying loyal to his act, The Chefs he said “Nikki, I like you, but I’m mentoring the boys so, I’m gonna send you home.” Sharon stayed loyal to her own act Nikki and with Louis holding the casting vote, he chose The Chefs to stay, ‘on entertainment value’, whilst saying he thought Nikki’s future was guaranteed and that although she had been in the bottom two for the second night running that she would “definitely get a recording contract”.

Nikki, who was suffering from tonsilitis, tipped Matt to go all the way and win the competition. Fighting off tears, she explained that she could understand Louis’ decision because the chefs were good entertainment value.
