Well I’ve heard at least fifty people talking about the Maria/Nolans (er, Conways)decision.
People accusing Louis Walsh of being racist are making an unfounded and totally naive accusation. Louis Walsh is a businessman who has managed some very successful acts – does he really believe that a bland re-hash of the Nolans/Corrs are better than the super-sexy and talented Maria? Of course not, or he wouldn’t be where he is.
Did the producers of the show think it a good idea to add real controversey by leaning on the judges to vote off one of the most popular acts (who was no doubt placated by assurances of a record deal), and now have millions of extra viewers tune in to see the wicked witches voted off? Of course they did.
Oh, and poor Maria. She will no doubt have a massive wave of public sympathy behind her, rocketing her debut single and album to number one.
