Whoever would believe it? Chico is to ditch his up tempo numbers and cheesy dance routines and get serious by singing the ballad “Hero” and hopefully put an end to the comments he has been receiving about being a good entertainer but not a particularly impressive singer.
Chico who was voted into the bottom two on his first outing in X Factor says he has been up against it from the press and everybody saying that he is a great entertainer, but not the greatest singer in the world and said he just wanted the chance to be able to sing. He is ecstatic that he is going to be singing a ballad and said that he cannot wait for Saturday. Bring it on!
He explained that he is going to be thinking of one love, the greatest love of his life when he sings on Saturday’s X Factor. Says Chico, “I wanna be her hero, I’m not gonna think, is there 10 million people watching? I’m singing this song for my greatest love and I want her to know that I want to be her hero.”
Can’t wait to see how well he does in this performance. Chico has already managed to grow on Simon and if he manages to pull this off, he will prove to the audiences that he isn’t just an ex- stripper who cannot sing to save his life and, he may well gain an increased voting fan-base.
I wish Chico wouldn’t refer to me as ‘her’, lol
I’m a Chico supporter and am rather nervous about this performance. It will be only 1 of 2 ways, bloody great or completely awful. Even though I think he is a great performer I’ve always felt his voice isn’t the strongest in the competition, but his great bubbly cheeky personality and ability to bring a smile to my face when Chicoing his way through an upbeat number is more than enough. So will he pull this off with flying colours and prove he has a diverse voice or will he tread into waters that are just too deep for him. I hope he does pull it off. Even though I like Brenda & Maria more Chico is in fact my 3rd fave of the final 8 so I hope he stays in longer.
If he falls into the bottom two against Nicholas I fear Chico will be out of the competition. However if he is pitted against The Conways (why oh why are they still here) then Louis might just keep Chico in!

When I first saw Chico Slimani, I thought he had more cringe factor that actual X Factor but now I have to admit he has grown on me as an entertainer because he is funny and a likeable guy.
Still not sure this is the right competition for him tho because we have only heard him screech rather than sing so far..

The “It’s chico time” slogan got tiresome after it’s third utterance, which by a total non-coincidence was about the the same for the man behind it. Peter Kaye summed him up beautifully when he said “Bloody Chico? You’re creating monsters”.

OMG! He’s my man! I am only 13 but what that little eleven year old girl said was so0o0o cute! I have to say my best friends little sister is 10 years old and comes up to me and says: “What’s the time?” and I reply “It’s chico time!” and vise versa I think everyone has found a place in their hearts for Chico as he is the greatest!
I had a fear this week that after singing hero he might not have got through because ballads arent his thing so I voted for him 3 times but he didn’t need it again! Because..it’s chico time all the time! and he wasn’t even in the bottom 3 but I think he should stick to the more dance music typed songs don’t get me wrong Chico you’re my guy and I love you to bits but for the votes you have to keep your buff body moving!
