The question on every X-factor fan’s lips is…. Can there really be any fresh, new singing talent left undiscovered in the UK after the last series of X-factor left no stone unturned when scouring the country from as far as Edinburgh to London in search of a star?

No doubt there will be fresh talent in the form of 16 year olds who were too young to enter the auditions last time around, and also, perhaps a small number of singers who were unable to audition last year due to various reasons of inconvenience. Obviously there will be recycled talent from last year who have been brushing up their singing skills only for another chance to have their dreams shattered by a possibly truthful but, none the less verbal batterering by Simon Cowell. You can almost guarantee that there will be an abundance of tone-deaf auditionees who do not posess an ounce of singing talent. I find that these can usually be split into two categories – the first being those who are infact tone deaf but who really are dissillusioned into thinking they can actually sing (amazing really when you think about it – it begs you to ask which planet they are really on) and the second type being the auditionees who know full well that they have absolutely no X-factor as far as singing talent goes, but have decided that they would like to appear on The X-factor anyway just to get themselves on TV for a possible stab of stardom or just because they would like to meet Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh or Sharon Osbourne or even just for the crack.
