Katie Waissel releases Album

Katie Waissel has released her first album under her own name, titled simply ‘Katie Waissel‘.

In an interview with OK Magazine, Katie explained that this album shows a different sound to that heard on the X Factor, emphasising her love for jazz and soul.

She also spoke about her time on the X Factor, saying “The biggest thing I learnt was to be strong and stay strong. To never doubt your personal passion and belief and to always know deep in your heart that if your true to yourself, then nothing is impossible. I would say the highlight of being on The X Factor was to have the wonderful opportunity to perform in front of just so many people and to get up on stage each week to do the thing I love to do and have a passion for which is singing.

I’d say the lowest point for me was how far the death threats and hatred went… I suppose with good comes bad however it went just a little too far, however I had wonderful people – friends family Waissel warriors – that did believe in me and gave me the strength to carry on and hold my head up high.”
